Has anyone made money with single-digit gravity products on Clickbank?

I have pretty much made it a rule not to sell any product with less gravity than two digits. I am beginning to question my tactics, and wondered what your experience might be with low gravity products. Did you just risk it, or was there a method to choosing a single digit offer?

I'm not a big expert on the subject, but if the product is new it starts with zero point something gravity and it might become a best seller, but if the product is not new and not too many people are interested of selling it there might be a reason to it.

A high gravity shows that the product is selling but it also shows that there is high affiliate competition. If you are relatively inexperienced in IM and/or do not have a large budget, I would actually recommend going for lower gravity products; this is where hidden gems are.

Gravity does NOT show how well a product converts or even the volume of sales of a product. I'm a vendor and I actually have products in the 5-10 gravity range outselling and outconverting products in the 20-30 gravity ranges.

So yes, do reconsider your tactics.

Excellent, Leli! I was hoping to hear from someone actually doing this. Thanks!

Yes - what he is saying makes complete sense. Gravity is not a measure of how well the product will sell for you but rather how it is selling for others. The higher the gravity means the tougher the competition may be.

The way I understand gravity is it represents the number of affiliates making a sale. So, you could have a product that has 5 affiliates each making 1 sale and that would have a higher gravity than a product that has only 1 affiliate but that affiliate is making 100 sales.

When I choose a product from clickbank or any other affiliate network I look for the following

Leaks: are there links leaving the sales page such as email sign up form or links to the persons blog. I once looked at a sales page that actually had over 30 amazon associate links on it.

Sales Copy: Is the sales copy good and will it convert.

Is the product of value to your audience: I always buy the product I am promoting to see if it is actually what the sales copy claims it to be.

    hey there

Yes it very possible with low gravity. I wish people would stop taking gravity as a clear metric its not.

Like al was saying the gravity might be 100 that means 100 affiliates have made one sale.

But I regularly promote products which has 7 or 10 gravity. Those 7 or 10 affiliates could be making thousands of sales each!

This is what I look for:

    • Detailed information and trust factors
    • customer reviews that are real
    • money back offer
    • not too high front end price
    • I buy the product to see what its inside to market it better

Thanks for the info guys. I was promoting 2 very high gravity products (one over 200) and in one day had over 300 hops...no sales (even though one product claimed over 8% conversion rates...lies). I was really bummed, but now I think I need to rethink my strategy and go for some products with gravity under 100. I should have trusted my instincts because I didn't love their sales pages, but I'm, new and thought "what do I know?"

Any other advice from anyone? Does anyone have better luck with different affiliate networks like JVZoo, Shareasale or CJ?

I took a single digit gravity product a few months ago and made over $5000 in a few weeks. Still making me money today. I was already in a similar niche though.

Interesting, 3sgte. So did you market primarily to a list you had in that niche, or did you drive new traffic to your landing page? Maybe both?
