Google Images for making YouTube Videos or Slidshare?

This was number 3 when I searched on Google:
20 Sites to Get Free Stock Images for Commercial Use

As for the YouTube songs, it says right there that you can use it for your own projects. Just make sure to read the license. For some songs, you will need to have the credit in the description. They make it very easy for you, you just copy the creative common license text they provide you with.

That's true of images, videos, audios, ebooks, articles, etc.

A "different approach" doesn't change any of that. Nor does "modifying them a little" (Copyright law also covers derivative works).

And, just one more thing... Can we use YouTube audio/songs from the YouTube library in our videos? Or, is it a sin as well?

ooooops! I think I covered that above, as well.

PS. If it's not fine, can you please give me free image sources? Or, can you tell me from where I can buy the images of landscape and etc. without spending too much money?

I don't know whether I'm right about this or not. But, I need your confirmation. I'm not talking about you searching music from youtube search. I'm talking about searching music from the youtube library, which youtube allows.

Could you please tell me that. I'll be grateful.

No - you don't need our confirmation, you need Youtube's confirmation.

I wasn't aware that Youtube actually owned any music rights (maybe they are in the public domain/). However, no one here can legally confer any rights for that material to you.

You didn't create it - you need express permission from the person who holds the copyright (unless you can independently confirm that the information is in the public domain).

Just one last question; it's perhaps stupid, but I'm not expert in this matter.

What if I take my own picture through my cell phone and then use it in my blog post or in YouTube videos? Will it still be a trouble? I mean to say, what if someone take my picture from my blog post or YouTube, and then upload it on gettyimages or anything like that, and get the license of it, will it still be a trouble for me?

Is it necessary for me to get the license of my own images if I want to stay safe on the internet? I hope you got what I'm trying to say. I'll be grateful if you can clear this issue.

If you take your own picture, you automatically own the copyright to that picture.

You can register the copyright for a small fee, but registration is not necessary as long as you can reliably document the date on which you first created the image.

Either way, you are protected.

Youtube/Google has a collection of music they allow you to add to YT videos. There's also a collection of contributors that you can add their music but need to use attribution.

And here's a "secret weapon" for making videos for Youtube: Google Earth Pro. Google used to charge $395 a year for GEP but make it free to everyone a little while ago.

Not only does GEP have a liberal usage license (read the terms for yourself), Google encourages use of GEP for making videos for Youtube.

The best thing about GEP is that it has built-in content/images of just about every place on Earth...and even the Moon and Mars and beyond.

Let me add that Google still holds the copyrights for the imagery used in Google Earth Pro, but they give permission to use it as long as you give attribution and GEP adds the required attribution automatically when you create videos using GEP.

It's always best to use images that you have a proper license for...and if needed, associated model and property releases as well.

Fortunately or unfortunately, U.S. Copyright law is not cut and dry. A court is the ultimate decider, and of course your host may shut you down prior to getting dragged into court on a wrongful fair use case, ie: infringement.

That said, depending on what you are doing, and what you are using, and how much you are using, fair use doctrine could be a factor on images that you don't have a license to use. See the Youtube page below.

Fair use is a legal doctrine that says you can reuse copyright-protected material under certain circumstances without getting permission from the copyright owner.

That said, it's always safest to use a properly licensed image, or in cases where a model or property release is not needed, a known public domain image, or your own image. If you don't mind giving a bunch of credits and/or attribution then CC By licenses can work fairly well, as long as you know the image to be true CC By material and releases are not an issue.

Depends entire if you are going to make money out of it.

If you are not adding ads to your videos, you can do whatever you want. Google images, songs from any group, etc.

Now, if you want to active the ads, you can't do that. You need to have free royalty stuff, from pictures to songs.

The library from Youtube is ready for content creators to use for free, pay attention to one simple thing, few songs are 100% free, some other songs you need to give credit!

One thing to be really careful no mater where you get the images you buy make sure you get the license for it , there is a company out there called getty images who has purchased a lot of the free image companies but have left the name the same so as to then email you later and demand money for images they own

Which at the time you have no idea about they start asking for $$$$ which I think is Extortion , so one to watch

And, what if I take my own pictures and use them. I mean to ask, if I take my own pictures and use them on my blog or in youtube, I'll be safe? What if someone copy the picture of my blog (which I've taken) and then upload it on gettyimages and own the license of it, won't I be in trouble?

Is it necessary to have the license of the picture, even if it's our own and we took it from our own camera?

It's perhaps a stupid question, but it just appeared in my mind. I'll be grateful if you can clear that.
