I have made a best in class niche wordpress product. How do I promote it? How to get affiliates?

I and my friend worked hard for the past eight months to build a startup which specializes in making photography wordpress themes. We wanted to be the best product in the 'photography+wordpress' niche, and now we are. Our themes offer many unique features which the photographers need, but is not available in any other theme in this category. Also, we are constantly building new features which would make our theme light years ahead of the competition. Our main selling point is simplicity and highly focused features which photographers need.

We have made four themes till now and we will be creating more themes in the next few months.

We mainly started selling about two weeks ago, and we have already got some sales through some basic advertisement. But, my question is, what would be the best way to promote this product? How do I get affiliate marketers to promote this theme? Is anyone here interested in becoming it's affiliate?

How do I position ourselves as the best product in this niche to get maximum market share?

There is a huge market in this category especially considering the number of people interested in Instagram and in creating facebook photography pages. Also, I can see lot of sales happening in themeforest in this category. Although, I am not interested in selling it in themeforest due to many reasons.

I know there are lot of genius marketers in this forum and I highly appreciate any help. I am new to this forum and forgive me if I made any mistakes here.

    You can sign up as advertiser on an affiliate network. Ideally, the affiliate network should have other programs related to IM so you can get affiliates already on this niche.

    Once you are on a network, you can also do affiliate recruitment through email campaigns directing them to your affiliate program. Make sure you offer a competitive commission and other launch incentives for affiliates to join your new program.

    Hi there!
    You said you got the best product already, now what you need is how to promote your product to your target customer.
    Advertise on affiliate network is a good choice cuz you can control what you sell. Another way, you can work with E-Commerce to introduce to everyone.
    Which channels did u chose to promote???

    I believe the first place to list your theme would be "Themeforest".
    People normally go there and search for a suitable theme there, if they are looking for a professional paid theme.

      'Themeforest' is not that good option for me. They take a huge part of the sales(70% usually). They set prices themselves and do not allow the developer to set the prices. Then, their marketplace is highly saturated and we would end up being just another theme there.

      If we go as our own website, we can become a brand in the long term. Since, we have an excellent product, photographers will soon start recommending us and then we will get more market share than the themeforest option.

    This is a perfect example of why you do your market research at the beginning of any product or launch cycle. It will tell you exactly where your perfect customers can be found online. It will identify what they want, what they'll pay for it, and who the top competitors might be.

    No one can tell you these things. You need to do your homework and they will become abundantly clear.

    There are numerous threads in this forum on how to do your research.

    No one can tell you but you can sure ask! True no one is going to give you the answers but you can be taught and there's a lot of #1 internet marketers online whom is willing to teach you!! -.^ everyone starts of as a newbie but we can learn by doing - you wouldn't want to be the best because then you are the best already and you can't grow from that anymore... It's awesome how you have that idea, test it out free by giving it someone In exchange for a feedback, maybe a programmer or a web designer, and from that you will get a true reply if it's good or not but make sure you have a nda if your scared of someone copying your idea but it's upto you! or have a coach which ever suits you most, there's heaps of ways to see if your idea is a multi-millionaire idea or not! Keep going, we can only learn by failing!

      Hi,

      I had done my market research and knows my competitors. I know some of the things on where to advertise and all, but you guys are far more experianced that me. That is the reason I asked this question here, so that I can get some new ideas.

      I am very new to affiliate marketing though. Any help regarding that would be very useful.

      I am already asked many photographers, web developers and other theme makers on what they think about this product, and they all agree that it is the best in it's category. This doesnt mean there is no room for improvement, we are already creating more features so that we are more attractive to our customers.

    While themeforest has a good traffic, I never sold any of my product there, no I will not give them 45% of my profit because I didn't steal the products that I am selling.

    Now as far as affiliate networks, I would highly recommend trying something like shareASale or clickbank, but be willing to pay a good competitive commission

    There is a big cost for launching ( ShareASale considered reasonable $650 , click bank i belive $50 ) of course clickbank has higher on going commission.
