Hi all,

Following the success of my niche that I had gathered 3 sales in 1 week, I am now without a sale for the last 7 weeks. lol

I have absolutely no idea how this could have happened.

What I had done so far, let me see...

Keywords scrubbing....done
Submit articles to Ezinearticles.... done.
Submit articles to other articles directories....done
Use squidoo lens.... done
Submit to RSS using my ezinearticle author rss....done
Using Scribd....done
Social bookmarking.....done

Building a list..... Not done.

So while I am still writing articles to my niche, I wonder if any warriors would be able to advice on how to get it on to the next level.

I am ready to re-vamp the site if needed and work closely with warriors who had success in affiliating marketing.

regards,
NamSing

    There it is.

    You got sales. That's good.
You stopped getting sales. That's bad.

Realizing that telling you this now is like closing the gate AFTER the cows get out, but that list is CRITICAL.

One of the most common mistakes I see is promoting a sales page without trying to build a list.

Without the option to get them on your list, you're banking everything on them hitting the site with credit card in hand. It happens ... but not nearly as much as we'd like to think.

I've got no problem with a straight-out sales page. But add a capture form and offer a free report, a sample, an intro product, something to get them to give you that contact information.

Most of my sales come after the followup.... followup ... followup.

I've had people on my list for YEARS and some of them bought only after getting my messages for well over a year! (Amazed me, too).

Keep doing all the things you're doing.

Add that capture form and build that list!

I totally agree that the money is in the list. The reason is simple, once a visitor leaves a webpage, they are like gone forever. But if they join your list, you can work on building relationships with them which will be fruitful over a period of time.

Personally I find it more fun, writing quality interesting mails to my list than writing articles after articles.

I understand the initial hesitation in going through the setup required for list building, but once you are on it, it is well worth it, and there is no looking back.

    Hi Brian,

I do understand the need for a list. Right now, being a cheapskate as I am, lol, I want to gather enough funds to add new domains to my portfolio and have a recurring allowance for substainability.

    In any case, thanks.

    Hi NamSing

Are you tracking your sources ?
    ie. Google Analytics ?

You should be able to find where your traffic has come from, and therefore know if that source has dropped off.

Have you got an affiliate program ?
If so, then advertise that in Affiliate Directories so that others can promote for you.

I agree with the others, BUILD YOUR LIST FIRST, make it plain when a visitor first arrives that you're able to give them more information than they can handle.

    Sound like a plan ?
