What metrics do you use to keep track of progress?
For instance: a content marketer might be interested in seeing traffic and CTR for a couple of dozen content sites, while a social media manager might want to see follower counts and growth velocity for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat for each of their twenty clients.
My initial inspiration for this is an app I used many years ago, before I moved from iOS to Android: Ego. I used it daily back then but it doesn't seem to have been updated and there were a lot of metrics I would have liked to have had access to that I didn't. Further, I have a sizable list of feature ideas that would be of use to marketing professionals; I think I can provide a great deal of value with this in ways that I've not seen done before.
My questions to WF:
- What metrics matter most to you?
- Do you currently use a dashboard of some type to get an overview of how you're doing at a glance?
- What platforms, tools, or sites do you use that aren't typically integrated with non-IM tools?
I'm keeping my list of feature ideas private for the time being, but I do plan to offer alpha accounts to WF members for free in the near future if I decide to build it. I'm not so much trying to be secretive as much as just not wanting to influence the responses I get by sharing my preconception of what you might want.
