Would You Build A Shopping center Next To A Highway With No Off-Ramp?

I have been "pretending" to create an internet business for the last year or so. This is my dream business model after being recently slaughtered in the real estate / home building arena (8 years to build a successful biz - 2 years to lose everything!)

I purchase the next shiny ball wso or guru product and have of course achieved no results. I have confused learning and being busy with building a successful business - it does not work this way. Upon reviewing the many, many websites I built - I have discovered that all I have really done is build nice wordpress sites, play with tons of cool plug-ins, written or had ghost written tons of content, maybe a little article marketing, tweek the sites, etc. etc.

So I basically built a great shopping center, with lots of unrelated stores, filled with inventory, and keep remodeling to look cooler, BUT I FORGOT TO BUILD THE RAMP FOR TRAFFIC TO VISIT ME!!

I spent several hours plugging in my URLs to the Rank Tracker of Market Samuri to discover for the most part - my websites can't be FOUND. Not a good strategy.

So, as I leave for a few days vacation - i will revamp by internet business model - focus on one model that I can be GREAT at and learn (oops..TAKE ACTION) to BUILD TRAFFIC.

So off to article market, blog comment, yahoo answers, angelas backlink package, rss submissions, social bookmarking, link bait, web 2.0 properties, more backlinking, getting involved in the niches, etc. etc. - ACTION I should have made a priority!

Anyway - just wanted to rant on myself! Seems more productive than the trend of bashing "gurus"..lol
