Reciprocal Linking Strategy

Hi all,

How do you approach in getting a reciprocal link from a web site that you link to in an article ?

What sort of email do i send them please ?

    John, I've found that the best way to get that link is not to ask for it.

    Simply drop the owner an email mentioning that you linked to his site in an article. Give him the url, and tell him he can check it out if he wants to. Tell him that he's free to share that link if he feels like it.

    As they used to say in my MLM days, some will, some won't, next...

    My advise would be:

    don't be a backlink hunter

    Yes, backlinks are important but so are many other things... Focus on creating amazing content.

    that being said, here is how i get backlinks to my site and at the same time build my rep.

    go to these free sites and sign up:

    https://www.helpareporter.com/

    http://myblogu.com/

    http://www.sourcebottle.com/

    You'll get daily or weekly requests from reporters and bloggers in several different niches. Respond to their requests and be a source.. You'll either get quoted or be asked to write a guest post, either way you'll get:

    - niche related links to your sites to help you in the SERPs.
    - traffic to your site.
    - powerful and middling reporters and bloggers asking YOU for your information.

    Find content that has already shown that it gets linked to and then create your own piece that would appeal to the same audience. Contact the places that linked to the original content and let them know about your piece and that their readers might like it.

    As far as reciprocal links go, they will do absolutely nothing to help you rank better, so unless that other site is the type of website that will be generating a lot of traffic to your site and placing the link somewhere major that will be seen by everybody, don't bother with trying to get reciprocal links.
