Question regarding YouTube and affiliate landing page.

Hello everyone,

I am wondering if I make a quick landing page reuniting all my affiliate programs for my gaming channel as well as my donation and patreon link, and posting the url of this landing page in the description section, would that bypass all the blurry and ambiguous affiliate link policy of YouTube?

In other words, am I allowed to include the link to a landing page in my description of videos? The reason I do this would be to stay safe regarding the YouTube affiliate program policy.

Technically, it is not a link directly to an affiliate program whatsoever, but to a page that I created.

Anyone has experience doing it?
Thanks!

It's a far better way of doing things to stay within any social site's 'no affiliate links' rules. It also gives you a chance to show a bit more of your own personality and gain a visitors 'know, like & trust' in you - making it easy to guide them towards the products that will help them.

Why not set up a blog that talks about the affiliate programs you're promoting? Just like one or two posts about each product, then use that as your Associated Website?

Set up the blog so that you have a static home page that talks about YOU, what you do and why.

That was it doesn't come across as a pure affiliate page. It will help you promote the products better too, I would think.

You will be fine doing that.

Just make sure that you have some way to capture the lead on your landing page. I say that because you mentioned having your affiliate links on your landing page but I didn't see you mention an optin forum. Make sure you are collecting their information or at least have that option available and tell them to sign up for updates.

I see plenty of gaming Youtubers posting affiliate links to G2A openly in the description, and big ones at that.

On top of that, a very big Youtuber (FrankieonPCin1080p) usually has an affiliate link to a game store he set up showing his gaming setup.

If it's a page you created that has affiliate links on it, then just do it. It's not against the rules.

I've done all these things for atleast 2 years and made ZERO MONEY online.

The best way to make money is find an offer, create a system to promote it and drive shit tons of paid traffic to it.

While youtube can bring some free traffic, it wont bring you large checks like paid traffic will. Get yourself a profitable offer and scale with paid traffic sources!

I'm also in the process of doing this but without angering the YouTube gods.

Just set up a resource page on your blog, list all the resources you use both affiliate and non affiliate and link to at the end of your video with a strong call to action..

One thing, try to keep your viewer requests to a minimum. I like to ask them to subscribe and check out my site..

Also, make use of your youtube cards..

    Best of luck,

Exactly. It's proven that if you give people too much to do they get confused and won't do anything.

      I like a two-step end card:

      What's next?

      Step 1: Subscribe

Step 2. Click here (to watch another video, to get a free report, to get a great deal, etc.)

Make it easy and obvious what people should do after watching your videos.
