Need Feedback On My Money Making Idea

This is my first post. Please give me feedback on my money making idea.

The idea is to buy a bunch of Amazon gift cards for 30% off. Then redeem the gift cards on Amazon and buy MacBook Pros. Then resell the MacBook Pros brand new for 15% off and make a profit. I need to know TODAY if this is a good idea or not.

The idea can only work today because GiftCardMoon.com is selling Amazon gift cards for 30% off today only, so I have to decide today if this is a good idea or not.

I'm pretty sure people would love to buy MacBooks brand new at a discount. Is it legal to resell MacBooks without being an authorized reseller? Do you think people will think the MacBooks are stolen and decide not to buy from me?

Just calculate the fee's for selling, it might not be worth your time.

It's a high priced item. If your buyers have any kind of warranty issues and need to work those out through Apple's authorized dealer's what are you going to tell them? Sorry, you're out of luck.

    I wouldn't buy from you.

Back in the olden days (1990's), there was a marketer who got his start buying used computers, refurbishing them, and selling them on. He used paper index cards on college bulletin boards offering to sell "a" used computer. (I told you it was old). Over the course of his college career, he sold hundreds of these computers, one at a time.

It's one way of getting past the "are these stolen" questions.

Whether your plan is good or not depends on the math. After all expenses, will you make enough to make the plan worthwhile to you? If yes, go for it. If no, it was a good idea that didn't pan out.

John has shared a good idea but you need to work out how much you'll make after expenses to see if you can afford it financially.

Does this Marketer happen to be based out of Austin,TX. ??

Whose last name rhymes with "SELL"

I think it was a pretty decent stepping stone into some bigger and better things for him. Last time I heard he was doing "ok" lol

Yes, indeed, now that you bring it up. Sometimes those details get lost in the swiss cheese. As you get loder, sometimes it seems like there are more holes and less cheese...

Just go to ebay and look at "sold" auctions for the product you are wanting to sell. Look at last 10 or so.
You want to know if there are several of these selling. So some selling every day.

Look at only new unopened products. Take an average of the 10 and use that as your price (fairly accurate if those 10 have been in the last 2-3 days).

You would list as a BIN picking this average price will get it sold fast. I have sold laptops, iphones, etc. with this method in 5 minutes.

Calculate listing fee, final fee for selling, shipping and cost of product. If it is less than what you would get then it is a profit.

Now just determine if it is worth the trouble. Or as my dad used to say, "is the juice worth the squeeze"

What an amazing advertisement for a gift card site.

In the slim chance I'm wrong that this posts only goal is advertising no buying those MacBooks won't make you nearly enough cash to profit will likely loose out.

The website Gift Card Moon was just registered 2 days ago!

The so-called 30% off Amazon gift card was posted on Slick Deals and then immediately removed.

Please don't fall for scam sites like this...

Honestly, it sounds like a fair bit of risk and work with a small profit and small upside. Imo at least.
