How did you create an income online?

Where do I start? Businessplan? Affiliate product? Keywords? Research? It's all a bit confusing. What do you suggest? Where should a newbie start?
Any pitfalls to avoid?

    First... breathe.

The first thing I suggest doing is devoting an hour or two surfing this forum. Look for the topics with the most replies, usually they have a good point to make. I'm not an expert at IM by any extension of the mind. Truth be told I'm as new as you are and I'm just sharing how I began to learn.

There are plenty of free e-books on this site that really can be helpful, you just need to explore a bit. If you want a very basic starting point, then I suggest you look into keywords and Google keyword tool.

That is basic IM, and where I started. I'm sure some of the old timers will swoop in here to provide you with better guidance, and to chastise me for calling them old.

Just take some time to explore this forum.

Its a lot of trial and error a lot of sweat and tears and hair pulling!! But when you make that first pound the feeling is immense I get the same feeling every day I open up my emails I love it it s the best part of the day for me!

Never give up is my advice you only fail when you quit trying

    Good luck

      1) search for demand of niche you want to be in, make sure that there are at least 500 searches in a day for a search engine.

      2) keyword research for the niche, note down the keyword that are related to niche.

      3) create a website or blog on the niche, put the top 3 keywords that have the highest searches on the internet, as the title of the website or blog.

      4) create content pages with the keyword research you done. Note the keyword must be place in title tag, description tag, H1, alt tag and in the content.

      5) link the web pages with affiliate links to the related product you are promoting.

      6) draw traffic to website or blog by linking back via comment, forum marketing and article marketing.

Remember that the 6 steps, no 6 is the most important and constantly must do. Use all ways to draw traffic to your website.

      Hope it helps.

In my opinion, there are 2 easy ways to start making money online fast: First is eBay. It is so very easy to get a "sales and use tax license" (that's what it's called in my state) and then go around and find wholesalers (the real wholesalers). Then of course, you find what's already selling on eBay and start selling.

The second most easy way I know of is to offer your services to local business. At Premier Internet Marketing, LLC, we got very overwhelmed very fast offering PPC services and Social Media services to local businesses. All we did in order to gain customers was network and post to free online classified sites.

    Read this forum-excellent advice.

Keep your credit card in your wallet until you have decided on a business model.

Than do that business model to the exclusion of all else, at least until its working well.

Might I suggest bizmodelguru dot com? Liz tomey who discusses different business models.

Here's what I would do starting all over from scratch and with very little money to invest...

    1. Pick one or two niches that have "hungry buyers." (health, make money, etc.)

    2. Go to Clickbank and pick some of the highest gravity products in each niche to promote.

    3. Get a cheap domain somewhere. If you use a coupon you can get one for about $7 somewhere at any given time.

    4. Set up a simple redirect from that domain to the sales page of the Clickbank product you want to test first.

    5. Write a good article (or 5) and submit to the top article directories. Put a link to your domain that redirects in the resource box.

    6. Track the results. How may click-throughs? How many sales?

    7. Keep testing until you hit on one or two CB products that convert.

    8. Keep sending traffic through your pipeline and cashing CB checks.

Now, that sounds easy, but it takes work. It's just really inexpensive and you can start seeing results pretty quickly. Days instead of weeks. And if it flops, you aren't out a bunch of money to find out, like you would be if you went the PPC route or bought ads somewhere.

When you are a beginner online things can start to feel a little overwhelming especially since there are so many marketers tell you you need this or that. My suggestion is to invest in one course in an area of marketing that you are interested in.

I started with affiliate marketing and would recommend the same. Get one course and focus on doing everything it says to make money. The key is finding something that actually works. I would recommend Commission Blueprint 2.0 or Affilioblueprint.

Pm me if you have any specific questions or I can help in any other way.

I've created online businesses both ways - 1) Looking for markets where products are already selling and marketing my way into those markets to get a piece of the action and 2) Start with a passion, idea or concept and through market research, matched that passion with a market - produced a "test" product and then refined based on the test to build large information publishing profit centers.

Either way works - anyone who swears only one or the other works just hasn't had enough experience.

The key is to take action, master marketing and be open to refining your ideas as you go - let the market take you where they want to go.

    Smile633,

    1. Determine why want an IM business in the first place.
    2. Find a business model that gets you most excited about.
    3. Break down the business model to its basic components.
    4. Build systems for each component (no more than 4 or 5).
    5. Take massive action for the next 90 days - do not hesitate - do not procrastinate.

I think that you should start with affiliate marketing and know this:

It takes money to make money online. The more you spent in the right places, the more you will make. It is really as simple as that.

All of it! Making money online is all about supply and demand. The more research you do and information you gather you can communicate better with you ideal prospect.

Start off as an affiliate cause its the most easiest and fastest and pick your market and niche and find your product that is proven to sell meaning it has EPC's or earnings per click with low refund rate and incorporate that into your custom sales funnel.
