How to take action? Simply do it?

Hi guys,

I saw one popular quote from Jim Rohn yesterday "What separates the successful from the unsuccessful so many times is that the successful simply do it. They take action." -- Jim Rohn.

Yes, I know it, we all know it. But yesterday it really hit me. I am very organized person (well, consider myself :-) but since I have been working for myself and have to be even more organised and disciplined I came to conclusion I need to improve my "actions".

So the question is: How do you take action? Simply do it? How do you keep yourself organized? Do you record each of your idea, thought? Or do you plan each day?
Thanks for any advice and suggestion.

I have daily plan, weekly plan and monthly plan.
    Monthly is global overview
Every night, I take the time to see what I can be good the next morning
I wake up early because of my morning routines (see Miracle morning)
Without the routine I can not bee so productive

You can always create a physical list of things to do for the day to help you out because everyone knows how self-satisfying it is to cross something off a list. It may help to go buy like an agenda for the year and plan out what you want to do and what you need to do and give yourself a time-frame to complete each task so you stay on track Stay positive and work hard!

    MartinaK,

This is the most important question ever asked at the Warrior Forum.

Thousands of Warriors have just done it, have taken action and today, are still in nowheresvile, the action they have taken has dug them into a rut.

Some call it shiny object syndrome.
Some call it chasing rainbows and unicorns.
Some say, "just do it", but they don't tell one what to DO.

HOW to take action is the key.

First, organization. Not sure what that means, too many people are organized and get nothing done, they use organization as a means of keeping themselves from taking MEANINGFUL action.

So, there is key one. Action must be meaningful, serve a purpose in a grander scheme. For action to have meaning, it must be CONTROLLED and DIRECTED.

This is accomplished through GOALS and SYSTEMS within the goal.

Where do you want your action to take you? What is the goal, the destination?

If you know where you want your action to take you, then you can build a map, and use a technique called BACKWARD CHAINING. On a real map it would look like a GPS or Google Map, say you wanted to go from Los Angeles to New York City by car, you would get a map which shows you the way.

The problem with the Just DO IT crowd is, you see too much evidence right here that those guys go down dead ends, alleys to nowhere and end up back at the start, broke and yearning.

Daily action is a behavior. Behaviors are habits. Habits can be altered and changed through controlled repetition. Systems help change the habits and also maintain them.

Focus is important but also a big picture, a Macro View is helpful because it shows the other areas of our life which can't be ignored. Here at the WF, most pursue the making of money via IM.

And stories abound about guys spending 60 hour weeks and months and even years, while ignoring and neglecting their health, love life, family, friends.

So, thanks for asking the most important question ever asked at the WF, How to take action?

    The answer to the HOW...

    is found in the

    WHY?

    Hi there,

As we end this week, this is one striking question that leaves you definitely asking yourself. I believe that to be on the way to success, you should prepare everything you need during the journey. Thus, this means that planning and taking a list on the important things you should do during the day, week, or month would come in very handy, because this simple action serves as your direction to where you want to head to.

There are really times that no matter how fully prepared we are, things go out of control and hit us hard. However, what we can do in that given moment is what defines us and leads us to success; not in the way we planned for, but the way we need to tread to be able to call it a real success.

I also believe that determination and working hard in the right things will lead us to success. However, human as we are, we need to rest from time to time; this respite will help us clear our minds, energize the body and fuel one's spirit to keep on moving.

Thus, to sum it all up, I prepare for success by doing these things: planning, working hard in the right places and taking a rest.

I hope this helps. Have a great weekend.

    Hi Martina,

I follow my fun, blogging-wise. I also have fun helping people.

So I have few problems moving into action regularly because I love what I do.

If you have issues moving into action or if you hesitate I'd see why you're doing what you're doing. Sometimes, being heavily attached to money or other outcomes creates the tension-based fear which leads to inaction.

    I'd consider re-assessing what you're doing.

Are you having fun doing what you're doing? Do you feel passionate about helping folks?

If you love what you do you'll have few problems moving into effective action persistently.

    "Just Do It!"
    It's very simple self explanatory.
    Don't make it complicated!

If you're hungry. You go eating.
If you're thirsty. You go drinking.

Just move your body to fulfill it.
You think later what you want to eat or drink.
Or how you will eat it or drink it.

Fix the process in the way while you do it!
Remember your main goals: "to eat / to drink".

For me, I have to lock the door and turn on my "focus music". This helps me not only be more productive but I feel like I'm the only person who can distract me. Weird but it works for me.

I try to surround myself with thoughts of positivity. As we all know, information overload can easily stop us in our tracks. By turning the phone off, locking the door and getting in the zone I find myself feeling pretty proud after getting stuff done during the course of the day. It's important to reward your self after a productive day infront of our computers...

    yeah Martina, you do both:

    1) simply do it - most of the times

    2) f....ing be a organized person at the same time
otherwise you loose track of stuff - and loose your house

    3) combine 1 plus 2 freely, but remember: never loose track!

    1. You need to know what your goals are? What you want to accomplish and at a set time

    2. Set up a task for yourself. One that would enable you achieve your goal at a particular time frame. Maybe 1 or 2 hours a day, once or twice a week etc

    3. Discipline yourself and see that you accomplish each tasks every day or week

    Hope that helps

    Hey,

I find the best way to get things done is to set a plan the night before. Make sure its on paper! Then in the morning wake up to a nice workout to get you going, and then dive into the list. Keep crossing things out and that will give you satisfaction and keep you organized. As the day goes on add to your list for tomorrow and repeat!
