Craigslist Posting

So I offer a Paper writing service. My question is how can I post in different city's/states without being banned?

Craigslist says you cannot post in different regions, apparently it's prohibited. But i'd love to post my services in all of the states..

Any thoughts or info to how I can cover more ground online with or without craigslist?

    The key to posting across different cities and states is having the proper ad tools (PVAs, private proxies) which emulate you residing in those cities. In our experience, the Writing services niche is extremely competitive where there is a lot of competitor flagging. So, you should be more concerned with flagging by them than by Craigslist. The best defense against competitor flagging is to diversify your ad content, phone numbers and rotate through many cities to avoid leaving a predictable campaign footprint through which either Craigslist or your competitors can track and flag your ads.

      Yes, This is the right way, Posting on different cities is prohibited but you can post using some softwares and rules. That might help you offer your services on all cities.

    Is this targeted to college students?

    What sort of papers do you write?

    I think Craigslist might be one of the worst possible ways you can use to sell your services, unless of course, you've had great success in your area and simply want to expand from there.

      So I've definitely found success in my area with this niche, but if I could post in other cities my business would shoot through the roof. I've never used a proxy software for something like craigslist. Are there any off the top of your head you could think of to use... and maybe comes with a "how-to" tutorial?

      I do have a mac, so Idk if the software might be OS specific?

      Now I can keep the ads pretty diverse as far as content, but would they flag me using URL's to my site? Because obviously it would be odd having ads in Ohio and California pointing to the same parent URL. But could you squeeze by with long-tail keywords? Or just not worry about that, and have people email me through craigslist instead of having a "call-to-action" url?

      Also adding onto that I know I'll need a bunch of emails (cause you can only post like 4 ads per email account), could they all be like "1@gmail.com, 1a@gmail.com, 1b@gmail.com, etc? and just use one mailing client like Outlook, or iMail to deal with all the incoming/outgoing emails?

    Craigslist is the best platform where you can post your ads related to you services or see the others post according to their need.

    You should definitely avoid placing any URL in your ads as that is a potential campaign footprint through which CL can track and flag all your ads. You can just provide that link when you in your email response. Also, you can optimize your ads to rank for your primary keywords by placing them in both the ad titles and ad text. Try not to delve into long tails as CL does not like keyword stuffing. Just have people contact you through the Reply button via email and/or by phone. Many people are using phones which allow both test message and call responses too.

    I advertise only in the Craigslist applicable to where I live. I follow their guidelines to never post more than every 48 hours - usually every 72 hours or more. I diversify the wording, including the headline. Yet my advertisement is frequently "flagged for deletion".

    It must be competitors doing this. I'm often tempted to retaliate and do the same to them, but I'm reluctant to do so because I have no idea whether it's all of them or just a few, and I don't want to target innocent people.

    Does anyone know, does it require just one person to flag a listing to get it removed, or several?

    If a website tells you not to do something, my advice: fall in line. CL, especially, is not the IM ground for inexperienced marketers, or marketers who lack enough experience of CL. There are ways to achieve your goals with CL, but they break TOS, other marketers will flag you, and CL itself will shut you down. In fact, even if you know what you're doing, they'll shut you down eventually; it will become a daily game of throwing up more posts, but you'll experience diminishing returns. What I'm saying is this: the model you're suggesting is not a stable, long-term growth model. You'd honestly do well considering something else.

    Here's how to generally distinguish if your ads are being flagged by Craigslist or competitors:

    o CL will flag your ad either immediately or worst case with a 2-hour lag time
    o If your ads remain live beyond the 3-hour period and subsequently get flagged, that is most likely the result of competitor flagging
    o It is not a trivial matter to flag an ad. It requires a concerted effort separately flagged by via a cluster of at least 10 - 12 separate localized IP addresses. There are software tools which claim to automate this and which track your ads by phone number.

    Crazy because everytime I do certain things I get flagged even if I follow every rule.

    Sometimes I do suspect that people who are in the field are flagging me out of competitiveness, and not because I did something wrong.

    I run a tutoring business now, and surprisingly haven't been flagged even though I post in different cities, and an almost identical add..... I guess it all just depends...

    If we want to use any site, we must obey the terms & conditions of the site. So if you want to use the Craigslist, you must accept the Rule & regulations of the Craigslist. Before using any site one should read the Terms of the site. There is no alternative way without accepting the terms. In the CL you are not allowed to post same content/ same Image in different post. So you can change your content while you are making post. On the flip site if you do not have enough knowledge about the CL, you can hire a freelancer from any freelancing site.
