Anyone using the "Automatic Commission" scripts

I'm getting ready to add an affiliate module to a script I sell. I've been looking at the affiliate "rotator" concept where the first sales goes to the admin, the second to the affiliate, etc. Which equals out to 50% commission when you do the math. But...

I'm concerned about product delivery. Since the script will pass the IPN postback data to the affiliate's PayPal account, it is necessary for the affiliate to have IPN enabled and Auto Return disabled in their PP account or the IPN will fail.

Since many people are terrible at following directions, and it is likely that some will not get the setup right, I'm wondering how this is handled. Or am I missing something and this is not a concern?

Rapid Action Profits (rapidactionprofits.com) or $7 Secrets Script (7dollarsecrets.com)?

I don't see anything about that in their user manual, and I have no idea myself...

To make the system viable for affiliates, Rapid Action Profits and $7Secrets both implement IPN processes that do not require any special Paypal settings for affiliates.

Neither script passes anything but the order (with the correct settings) to the affiliate's Paypal account, so the affiliate's IPN and Auto Return settings are irrelevant.

Suggest you research the appropriate Paypal IPN documentation (understanding it is imperative)...
or just sign up to the RAP affiliate program and promote that, instead

Thanks. Sometimes the answer is right in fornt of you but you don't see it until you believe it.

      From the PayPal developer's forum:

The IPN message will always be sent to your notification URL unless receiving IPNs
have been disabled. Even though you have not enabled receiving IPN messages in
your Profile or you have reset your preference by turning off IPN messages, PayPal
still sends IPN messages to the notification URL you specify for a specific payment.
IPN messages not sent because you disabled the preference in your Profile will appear
in the IPN history when you enable receiving IPNs. After they appear in the history,
you can choose whether or not to resend them.
Prior to finding that, I was looking at some issues related to PDT instead of IPN. Thanks for clearing my head.
