I am so overwhelmed here...

Hello Guys,

I came across this website only recently and have to say that at the beginning I was so happy that I found a place, in which I will be able to find so many answers to my questions and everyone here know what they are doing as far as seo, sales, affiliates, product marketing, youtube, shoppify, dropshipping and etc. is concerned. I, myself try to learn everyday more and more and expand my knowledge in order to be able to make lots of money online and live my life in a comfort zone, in which I am going from a coffee shop to another coffee shop and at the same time money is flowing in to my bank account from many online sources. This is probably everyone's dream.

But, at the same token of being happy finding this warrior forum website, I am also overwhelmed with the tons of offers of how to "really" make money easily. So many people here promise you that their product is the real deal and they know the "secret sauce" to making money online. People are making a Hugh selling page with tons of information regarding their products and with customer testimonials and so on. WOW so overwhlmed that I have an headache already. You don't know what to choose, and their prices is cheap, so you say to yourself: "only $29 for what he promises to teach me? this is nothing... I am gonna buy it. What is $29 bucks for such a thing?"

But then you see another promising offer for another $17. So you also buy it and so on and so on and eventually you don't focus on any of these products that you bought, because you are trying to become a millionaire in 1 day so you buy few products at the same time.

BUT, I want to ask you guys something:

1. Why would people, who make money and a lot of money will show you how to do this? if they make a lot of money already from selling products online for example, why would they want to try to convince buyers to buy their program?! why not just to enjoy the money they make in an "easy" way without any more headache with clients and "30-day money back guaranteed" convincing method? I am pretty sure that people are not that nice and good so they want to "help" others too.

2. How can you choose who to go with? As I already said, I am so overwhelmed with these so many programs offered. How to choose the right program for you?

*** I am not trying to say that every seller here is bad or just want to take your money, but it is just ridiculous of how many sellers know how to make lots of money but still selling their secret sauce formula in forum pages.

Can someone help me on how to overpass this overwhelming thing here on the warrior website and how to choose right.

Can someone advise on really good programs, from which they actually made money and really expanded they knowledge. (I hope that real people will advise me and not sellers themselves advise me to buy their program)

Sorry for the long story, looking forward to hear what you guys things and will be more than happy to get some recommendations and your observation about the things I wrote above.

Thank you in advance.

    Hey Croaticroati,

First of all, welcome to the forum. Now let me help you answer some of these questions you have...

You brought up all very valid points. It's normal to look at everything and question why people are doing what they do. (You are smarter than most people, who run around with shiny object syndrome and buy everything and do nothing with it).

    So to answer question 1:

Most of these people don't actually make any money outside of selling the idea they know how to make money. These are the guru's. A lot of these people just sell rehashed old information that they read in a book somewhere. Some of them might have past experience that they are trying to sell in a guide they wrote up to make some quick cash.

Most of these programs and courses are harmless. You pay $10-30 you might learn something new you didn't know about. You probably won't get rich, but hey you learned something from it. The ones you should be avoiding are the guru's who charge $250,$500,$1000+ to put you in a course where you watch videos on the same rehashed information everyday for a month.

Are they scams? Technically no, but they are crummy offers with no real value. If anything you should study the actual sales threads themselves to see how they convince people to shell out that much money for information they can find for free.

But therein lies the problem. These people provide information in a condensed form to save you time and hopefully increase the rate you learn at by providing everything you need in one package. You have to decide what your time is worth?

You can learn all of this stuff on your own, but it might take months or even years. Or you can take a course or buy a product that promises to cut that learning time down so you can actually focus on building a real business.

The trick is finding the programs or courses that are worth it. Which goes into the next question you have...

    2. How do you choose the right program?

Honestly there is a very small chance you will actually find any programs here in the WSO section that provide any real value. Most people in that section are the product of buying courses that tell people how to sell courses in that section. There might be some golden nuggets in there where some people offer great value for what they are selling. But you will probably spend more time going through the garbage trying to find a winner then you will actually building a business.

You are actually better off looking outside of this forum and finding something with real reviews and honest feedback from regular people (not reviews from people here who have been paid or given review copies to leave a positive review). My advice is just to look elsewhere for help, but stay around for the free information.

That's rather presumptive to assume all courses above a certain price point are crap.

That really bothers me, because I offer a coaching class. However, it is far from rehashed info, as you can't even find what I teach on the internet, as it's not mainstream, Also, I spent 4 years of getting PM's from members asking if I provided coaching and always said no. Then finally broke down and decided to provide it. So, if I was doing it just to make a buck, I would have done it along time ago.

You made a good point here. Of course not all the courses above a certain price should be avoided and of course there are honest sellers out there who want to deliver a good and valuable products without selling illusions to people, but most don't.I believe that you are one of these good guys.

I found some on Warrior +. But they were created by pretty reputable Marketers. Some actually very good ones that were worth way more than the price.

You only buy from people who've demonstrated they have successful businesses outside of the IM niche.. never buy from someone who only operates in this space, they don't have a clue what they're doing in the real world.

I really like this answer. If someone can make money outside of the I.M. niche than I would say that is a good indicator that they know what they are doing. That is real marketing. Selling people dreams of making money when they've never made any money is Ponzi scheme that previous poster was talking about.

I can't agree with this anymore! This is why I LOVE Frank Kern so much. He's not only an "Internet Marketing guru". He's made successful 6-7 figure businesses in spaces outside of IM.

And from what I've noticed, it's easier to make money outside of IM anyways...

It is like anything else in this world. people who cook and have successful restaurants write cookbooks. Plumbers write books on plumbing, the list goes on. So why shouldn't people who succeed online write books on how they do it.

Hi agmccall. I understand what you are saying and you are right, but there is a big difference between writing a book on great food recipes and "teach you how to make lots of money online with little work", also when they write a bout their work/ master piece, they don't want to sell you illusions which will make you richer.

    Welcome croaticroati!

Lots of great advice above so far! Speaking from my own experience I found that before I made any money at all I had to find a 'method' of making money online that really resonated with me. I was so caught up in finding the perfect niche that was also something I enjoyed (not always the easiest of things to do) and trying to fit that niche into a method that really held no interest for me. Of course in the early stages it was definitely hard for me to know exactly what methods there were, but eventually I found my place, the niche was chosen and then monetised via the method that interested and excited me. Perhaps not everyone will work this way and I wouldn't say that finding a method is necessarily more important than picking your niche, however I've found that locking in the method solidified the entire process for me and was a great foundation to launch off successfully.

So what does this mean for you? Well, here's some methods of making money online:
    • Affiliate marketing, generally through your own website
    • Creating and selling your own digital products through your own website
    • Selling digital services as a freelancer (Fiverr, Freelancer.com, etc)
    • Freelance writing (similar to selling digital services in many senses)
    • Website Flipping
    • Running a successful YouTube channel (easier said than done to make a living from it however)

Research the ways to make money online and narrow down the possibilities that really intruigue and interest you. Then you'll be able to narrow down exactly what offers here on the forums are worthwhile, and you'll also be able to search Google and YouTube for information on how to get started, notable people in the space who teach the method you want to use and who also have great reviews and a good customer base. Ultimately if you pick a clear method you can also post a simple message here on the forums asking for recommendations on value packed courses and no doubt you'll get a lot of very helpful replies. NEVER be afraid to pay for your education as it will shoot you up the learning curve so much quicker and ensure you're more likely to be successful, but do make sure you do some homework first on which course you ultimately buy.

You'll probably have a fairly good idea of the niche(s) you'd like to enter by this point, so you can start blending that niche into the new method you're learning about and build up strongly from there.

number 1- there are two reasons for this,

the first one is. If i show you how to make money online, you wont do it....

lets face it, most people are lazy when it comes to positive change or they dont have the will power: weight loss, start a business, quit smoking etc...

2nd, there is plenty for everybody on the web.. the famine mentality really doesnt apply here since there are tons of traffic sources that can fill the same need.

number 2- look for reviews from other warriors, anybody can play detective here and quickly figure out who is real and who is fake..

    take care,

    Hi croaticroati,

    1. Have you noticed in the offline world, the businesses that advertise the most are the huge successful businesses? That's the same reason for constantly promoting your offers / products for online marketing. You need to keep your message constantly in front of customers. Constant promotion will maintain success.

    2. "Due Diligence" is how you choose who to go with. That means doing research on the 'mouthwatering' offers or 'shiny objects' that you see online.

To do so take the following steps::
    a. Go immediately to Google and do a search: 'shiny object name +review'.

    b. Check the number of reviews that come up. Discard those reviews with
    'shiny object' affiliate links.

    c. Look for reviews that give the pros + cons of the shiny object program.

    d. Look for reviews that analyze the 'shiny object' from a practical business point of view.

    e. Also do Google and YouTube searches on the promoter of the 'shiny object'. Use 'promoter name + recommendations' for both searches.

    f. Also ask: What product is being offered? - if there's no tangible product that requires shipping, no product or software to download, no training or mentorship program; then BEWARE it could be a SCAM.

    h. Are you getting value for money? - If there's a product, can you get that quality of goods or service elsewhere for less money? If 'yes' SAVE Your Money! Are there DOUBTS about the benefits the product delivers? If 'yes' BEWARE, it could be a SCAM.

You will save a great deal of time and money doing reviews as described above on 'mouthwatering' offers instead of giving in to the temptation to purchase 'get rich quick' schemes.

    Best wishes

    Hello there,

This is my answer to your first question: Necessarily, internet marketers offer their tutorials, tips and lessons to help primarily to help and earn money as well. The lessons they teach may be based on their experiences, or the fruits of their thorough and in-depth research. It lets you save time than having to do it by yourself. However, YOU HAVE A CHOICE WHETHER TO AVAIL OF THIS OR NOT.... What they teach may help you tons, but the work and effort is done by you. In short, they are like professors but in the end, it's you who's going to look for a job and earn money for yourself.

This is my answer to your second question: THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS THE RIGHT OR BEST PROGRAM FOR YOU. In my opinion, if you buy either of the cheap or expensive courses, they teach the same lessons regarding the field you want to learn about. They may have different ways to convey it, but the thought is the same. However, what you can do is to RESEARCH. Find the answers to your questions yourself! You're the only one who's gonna find it out.

    Cheers!

    Without reading any other answers..
You don't need to buy ANY products from this forum to get started in IM, instead learn and put the information to use, see how that's working out for you, if you'll need more help then you'll know what product(if any) you should buy. You'd still get answers to most of your questions if you ask here, the best thing you can do NOW is start whatever you wanna start, don't buy any WSOs.

Yes, very good question about why people would give a way a genuinely effective method for a few tens of dollars.

A lot of internet-marketing methods would easily make many millions, if they really worked, because they are so easy to up-scale once tested. I am constantly surprised by internet-marketing "guru"s and "coaches" who tell you they know effective internet-marketing systems, yet they'll admit they are not millionaires yet.

Some methods are not easy to up-scale, such as your own personal time is essential to the process. But really, that's a minority of methods.

Of course, writing guides and building a list, is one effective way of making good money online, but if you "read between the lines" of many of the guides being sold, you'll realize that things are not what they are being promoted as being. For example, I remember a course I bought some years ago, where the list of websites the author claimed he "used every day to make money", included some that had been down for several years (the course I bought was brand new). Then many of us on the forum experienced the same 75% reduction in traffic, from the method he said was the "best way to increase traffic". It became obvious that he had never tried the method, and had just put together a bunch of stuff from other places, which sounded impressive. Of the 88 members of that private forum, not one could say they'd made a single penny from the method, after several months, and this was for a guide named as how much you'd make in 14 days !!!

Yet I don't regret spending a little money (and several weeks of my time) on that course . . . I certainly learned a few things, including several things NOT to do in the future, and that learning (and a lot of other bits of learning from different places) helped me get to the point where I was making some money from IM.

To be blunt, some guides are helpful and based on genuine methods, and some are not.

However, what you really need to know, as a newbie, is how to avoid the exact information-overload that you are describing, and get to make some real money.

What I recommend is writing down answers to 3 questions :

    1) your real aims with internet-marketing

    2) your strengths/weaknesses

    3) your situation (particularly in terms of money and time to invest).

Be totally honest (you don't need to every show those to anyone else), and get some real answers on those. Realize that "less is more" from this perspective . . . what you need to do is to focus on what method(s) are the very best match for you, personally, (and ignore the rest, for now). Understand that your weaknesses are a BENEFIT, from this perspective, for example . . .

if you are an introvert, you can ignore any methods which require good sales-skills, because that won't be easy for you. So, while selling online services like SEO and web-design, to offline-businesses can certainly make big money, it is NOT a good match for YOU, so you can ignore it for now (you can always learn additional skills later, but it's best to make it as easy as possible to succeed, to start with, then grow from there).

Another example . . . if, like myself, your real aim with internet-marketing, is a real business (i.e. something that can be outsourced or sold) rather than a job, then you can ignore any methods which depend on your personal skills (except if you need to quickly make some cash, such as by doing outsource work for a short time).

If you have very little money to invest, then you can ignore methods based on paid-traffic, because that takes much more money and time, to test and find profitable systems, than people imagine (and that sales-copy pretends).

So, I'm sure you see what I mean . . . the 3 questions above can help you really narrow down from the information-overload, to just a few methods that are really well suited to you personally, right now. Then you can focus on something which has a good chance of success, take action, keep learning and asking questions here, and you'll be making money at some point !

    Hope that helps

    Chris

I've read so many stupid remarks in this thread that it reminded me why I don't come here often anymore...

Why would someone that make money online do a program on how to make money online?

Answer: To make MORE MONEY online.

What's hard to understand? This doesn't mean the person teaching how to make money with affiliate marketing (for example) is not making money with affiliate marketing....it just means that this person is making money with affiliate marketing AND ON TOP OF THAT, they decided to create a program on it to MAKE EVEN MORE MONEY (because teaching people is a good business).

You see, some people here with thousands of posts are actually dangerous. I really mean it. Because they have so many posts, they have some kind of authority and newbies trust them, but the problem is a lot of them have a freaking weak mindset and are not making money.

The lack of logic gives me a headache actually.

Hey, this person did a program on how to make money online. Why would they do that? It probably means they are not making money online.

NO YOU DUMB &(?(*&, it just means they want to make MORE MONEY.

    What's hard to understand?

It all comes down the beliefs someone has. These people with thousands posts , deep down, DON'T BELIEVE IN ONLINE MARKETING. They want to believe it is possible on the surface level but DEEP DOWN they don't. That's why they don't take action. Achieving thousands of posts on a forum talking non-sense is WAY EASIER than actually making money online.

Change your mindsets folks, and for newbies, don't listen to people who are not producing anything, or you will become like them.

Yes, there are really bad programs out there, but there are a lot of good ones.

But even worse, there are a lot of people who ARE NOT TAKING ACTION, or even worse, they take action but don't follow the steps correctly.

Source: I have a program on how to make money online.

Want some stats? It represents not even 15% of my income online. Why did I do it? TO MAKE MORE MONEY. Repeat after me, TO MAKE MORE MONEY.

Another stat? Only about 40% of the people who buy the program even watch the first video. NOW, THAT'S THE REAL PROBLEM. Let's talk about the quality of the people who try internet marketing first. Are they willing to work hard, are they willing to EVEN WATCH THE FIRST VIDEO?

Another stat : only 10% or less of the people go through the whole program. They are truly motivated to make money online? Oh really?

Another stat: It's the same numbers with all of my friends who have programs...

Let's destroy one last belief before I go:

Max, why would you teach your step-by-step method? Now you will have more competition and you will make less money with your method..

NO....NO NO NO! Don't you get it? NOBODY IS TAKING ACTION DUDE. I won't have more competition. MOST PEOPLE DON'T EVEN LISTEN TO THE FIRST VIDEO. What's hard to understand?

There is literally ALMOST NO COMPETITION OUT THERE because nobody is working hard. I'm telling you.

Actually, I think the real problem is the mindset of the people. Way too many false beliefs....This is what makes them un-productive.

They are not even taking action yet. They think it's a scam, so why would they?

But then you see another promising offer for another $17. So you also buy it and so on and so on and eventually you don't focus on any of these products that you bought, because you are trying to become a millionaire in 1 day so you buy few products at the same time.
I can completely relate to this! I sometimes feel the same way! I am a newbie here too and there just seems to be a lot to take in on here. It is sometimes hard to stay focused on one thing.

There has been a lot of helpful comments here and I for one appreciate all the help to those who have answered. I am still working on trying to find my right place in this thing called Internet Marketing!

There's only one vital skill you need to learn and that is where to find targeted traffic and how to drive that traffic to your perfectly matched product / offer.

Most IMers learn this from trial and error and through wasting money on WSOs which may work, in fact, only if you knew the vital skill.

Since products and offers are easy and free to find, you really do not need anything but a determination to learn traffic strategies.

By learning traffic strategies and understanding targeted traffic through to mastery in conversion, there isn't any product, service or website or business model that you couldn't have success with.

The majority of people are buying a fantasy

I have a friend who is a phycologist. We had a conversation about people who buy lottery tickets. My question was, "Why would anyone buy a ticket to a lottery where the chances of winning are minuscule, at best?"

His answer: "They buy that ticket and then fantasise about what they will do if they win."

IM wanna-bees are the same. They buy that product and then fantasise about their life, post instant riches. Deep down they know they will never "win", but that's not what it's about.

People sell "dreams" because there are people waiting in line to buy them.

This particular bit of advice won't win me a lot of friends, and might even get me banned, but here goes...

    1) Stay out of the WSO section altogether until you find yourself needing specific instruction (using FB ads, web design, copywriting, etc.) or a plan for a specific business model (email marketing, affiliate marketing, etc.) Then use the search function or google to look for that information, ignoring all of the get-rich-overnight-without-effort offers. You don't yet know enough to tell the good ones from the bad ones or the simply worthless ones.

    2) Ignore all sig offers until you've seen enough added value from that person's posts to make you confident that the person can deliver what they promise.

    3) If someone says, on a sales page, that they only want to help or give back, guard your wallet. MValmont was right. The reason these people are making offers is to make money.

    4) Take testimonials or glowing reviews with an affiliate link attached with a huge handful of salt, not a pinch. There are honest reviewers out there, and if you read enough reviews, you'll learn to spot the smoke and mirrors fakes. Until then, consider the source.

This is so true! I have learned to spot which ones are just blowing smoke to make money as an affiliate. But sometimes it is hard to find an actual unbiased review.

Which should give you pause, in and of itself. If the only reviews you can find are by affiliates, how good/popular (not the same thing) can the product really be?

A good way to see if a product or a vendor is selling quality stuff is by looking it up on google. There u can see the credibility of the person or product just remember google can only take you so far.

It's called a ponzi scheme and the oldest method in the world, 95% of schemes will lie you and lie to themselves about selling it, top 5% will lie about one, the top 1% will tell the truth and you won't want it because it means you actually have to do some work and/or pay some money. Which is why ponzi schemes are the best selling strategies in the world, untold riches with zero effort.

Read this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lloyd%27s_of_London - Recruit to Dilute "The reinsurer was always another Lloyd's syndicate(s), often the succeeding year of the same syndicate. The members of syndicate 'A' in 1985 reinsured the future claims liabilities for members of syndicate 'A' in 1984. The membership might be the same, or it might have changed."

You will either be the Name or the Syndicate, depending on your approach to life. Know one of the consultants who helped 'save' the company, welcome to the world of making money online! There are very few, ie. almost none, that generate new income as that requires selling to external third parties with the probability of their growing income, which is close to impossible these days without enterprise technology.

Why do you think the central banks are printing money, they're syndicating as there are no quick methods to generate growth, and then back to the 1% as they have the capital, infrastructure, and knowledge to generate returns on investment which they built many years ago in anticipation of this problem!

    Interesting topic.

I remember many years ago in Scotland, well before the rise of the Internet, you had adverts in Newspapers and Magazines on “How to get rich in 30 days” etc.

They were selling ideas, but principally selling a book. Nothing wrong in that, if the ideas made you money in the end, then both you and the book author are happy. But normally the author gave you a plan on how to succeed, the plan normally entailed how they succeeded in something, and if you adopt the same blueprint, you can succeed also.

Other books did not give a specific plan for success, they were more a “Positive Thinking” mindset like Napoleon Hill’s “Think and Grow Rich”, a book I would still highly recommend. In that book he reveals Andrew Carnegie’s formula for success called “the secret”, which many past millionaires adopted, even presidents.

What is the secret? It is too simple, but awesome.

If you get that book, you won’t worry about whether the Warriors WSO’s are valid, you will have your own driving force to action perhaps, and you might make a success of anything you pursue. We ourselves might be the problem that needs a solution.

    Thanks for the interesting post!

    regards

    Jim

In my humble opinion one key word sums everything up: TRAFFIC!!

    therefore...

    1. create your own (even mediocre) product

    2. decide where do host it (amazon, own website, JVZoo, Clickbank...)

    3. price it high, low, medium.. it really dosn't matter much

    and finally...

    4. Drive tons of traffic to it...

    ------
    back to TRAFFIC:
paid traffic is the best way to go.. therefore if you're not a TRAFFIC EXPERT.. find who is, pay HIM/HER well and....

    and bingo, you're RICH!!!

Yes - I have a comment. You can't be serious. lol The amount of traffic you generate is totally meaningless if it is not targeted for your product. You have posted something which is a total waste to those looking for good answers - of which there are very few.

And Bingo, you're rich. Ridiculous! Are you rich???

I feel you. That's because of a lot of offers with their rings and bells and a lot of them are just crap but a lot more still are also great!

So how is that? You got to have what we call due diligence to really pick the best and reliable source. Do not get caught in "analysis-paralysis" though.

Realize that all things of value must be earned and there is no such thing as millionaire overnight when it comes to making money online especially with affiliate marketing.

Generally, a huge deal of the information is available online including in this forum for free, so purchasing a product like that would not always be worthwhile. I have purchased things a few times and have rarely been impressed. My advice would be to start working on some methods that are available at no charge out there and only after you know how to put your own twists on things, choose a few products to buy to provide additional inspiration and direction. Still, many are not worth it as unfortunate as it might be.

Probably 95% of the WSO's are crap. As we speak there are WSO creators that have multiple products listed. You can bet this isn't because they are that good at discovering money making ideas.. Also, many of these serial WSO creators do this thing where they go and give glowing reviews of each others WSO's. It's like their own little WSO creators club.

The War Room can be just as bad. A huge red flag is when I see free content where the money making method requires you to purchase tools or web hosting with an affiliate link. This is usually a sure sign that the creator is just trying to get you excited with the method so that they can make some affiliate commissions. I even called someone on this and then he took his guide down.

I think the best way to go about it is to just pick 1 path and get started. Once you do that, you will know if you have picked the right thing. And at the end of the day, its all about the hard work you put into your product

Oh, the guru's. You have a point, and I've been thinking about it myself. Do you want to learn from someone whose business is... teach people how to to business. It feels like a pyramid scheme, and you're the sucker at the bottom. :-)

I have read so much advice here, and tried a few things. What works for me in my niche might not work for you in yours. Just try and use common sense.

My advice? Add something. Sell something. Help a business. Help people. Build something REAL. Don't sell air. What do people need? How can you help?

To answer your first question about why people who claim they have a super money making system that they're selling you, and you can make all this money, why would they be sharing the method and not just using it for themselves? Well, the only way they're making big money is by selling people guides on how to make big money, which really aren't going to work for everyone.

Anyone selling a big secret guide on a money making system, is getting rich off selling this system. If they did have some master plan of making money online they certainly wouldn't be sharing it with the world, that would just create massive competition.

I have an answer to what your second question is:

How to choose the right program for you?

This is my personal opinion and how things have worked for me.

I ONLY purchase courses or services that somebody I really TRUST recommend me.

For example, you want to buy a car, don't you ask your friends if they are happy with theirs and to gave some info about how good or bad they are? Same with phones, a book, a TV series, etc....

You always ask and believe people you trust.

Now, do the same with these courses.

Ask friends, talk to people, create connections, make friends. Somebody who wants to sell something fast will never spend long time in creating this relationship with you.

Things as easy as chatting by phone, blog commenting, random skypes, whataspps, emails on a friendly way... create those relationships, friends, people who were once where you are now.

EVERY TIME I buy a new product, course is from a trutworthy person I know or I have a reference from.

I have read quite a number of ebooks sold as WSOs and
altogether they have provided me with valuable information
that have helped me in my IM journey, so I wouldn't rubbish
    them as not being useful.

    So my advice would be
    1. Stay focused on one thing, don't try to do everything with the hopes that
    you would make more money.
    2. Take action. Once you by a WSO, act on it and you will see results.
    3. Keep reading and finding more information about your niche, not just
from the WSOs but also from other places, such as blogs.

I have ran into that same problem, and it even led me to failure at one point. The truth is, alot of e-books and shiny methods you see work, but alot of them are not nearly as easy to just implement as you think.

One thing you need, and im not sure how to get it because it just took me years or trial and error and surfing the internet, is to have an actual foundation and knowledge of basic traffic strategies, marketing tricks and the groundwork you need to build a successful campaign.

Obviously over time you can learn these from various e-books, but all these threads are very shiny and distracting.

If you spend all day looking at forums and reading methods, and not taking action on anything, you will not succeed.

If you try to copy and paste methods, you may succeed but you need to learn to fend for yourself over time and become independent, Hope this helped, I read your first post and I KNOW exactly how you feel, because i was there in 2010.

Eventually you have to pick one or 2 methods or niches and just go for it.

Keep in mind that there is a big world outside of IM / MMO, eventhough that seems to be what most here are interested in promoting.

I have been promoting CPA / affiliate offers for over 16 years.

I heavily promote PPL (pay per lead...lead generation) offers, because there is no credit card / purchase required. All a user has to do is fill out a short form, to complete an offer. So conversion rates are typically much higher than offers that require a sale to be made.

I favor offers that make a make, get or save money angle / benefit to them. This is what has overall worked the best for me, but they also tend to have the greatest mass appeal...will be of interest to a very large audience. So the potential exists to generate high volume. Also, mass appeal is very important because it makes it easier to cross promote offers, even if they are not related.

The bulk of the offers I promote pay between $20-$40 per lead. However, there are offers that pay less and more, that convert well. It's important to not get hung up on the payout price, as the conversion rate of an offer can make or break it...regardless what it pays. You could have an offer that pay $8-$9 and if it converts at 2X+ of what a $20 offer converts at, they will perform about the same. Where if you have an offer that pays $90-$100 and it converts poorly, it may not even be worth running.

Some examples of verticals I have done very well with are: insurance, educations, debt, credit, mortgage, loans, assistance, home owner offers, etc...

The bottom line why I do the above, over promoting IM / MMO offers, is that it provides the path of least resistance to generating conversions (make money). It is far easier to get a user to fill out a short form, than it is to get them to take out their credit card an make a purchase. Plus, I'm able to be in many very large verticals VS just IM / MMO, so there is huge opportunity.

    Anyway, something to think about.
