The Process
I would like to share with you a very easy way to get email subscribers on to your list for free. This technique revolves around creating an 8 - 12 page "Free Report" and publicly submitting it, make sure that the "Free Report" contains "Giveaway Rights" (this will help it spread a lot quicker). In the report you want to leave a link back to your website squeeze page (you can put affiliate links in but I really do not recommend it).
Best Places to Submit
Academia (really good way)
Amazon (warning do not put affiliate links in report!)
Slideshare (make sure you make report accessible to the public)
Google Drive (make sure you make report accessible to the public)
Torrent Sites (really good way)
YouTube (just make a video talking about how to get report and leave link in description)
Facebook Groups (this works better if you create your own Facebook Group)
I have had free reports I submitted years ago that are still getting signups, and the best part it is free!
