Need input about blogging

Hi,
I know blogging and I have read through the potential of blogging, I personally know some basics about SEO, Link Building and I have an idea about affiliate marekting but not enough expertise to write an article.

I have been planning to start a blog about all the topic like SEO, Inernet Marketing, Make Money Online etc, and have registered a domain almost two years ago, but I am stuck on writing articles on different topics. Just wonder how others write posts?

I have seen many bloggers who have built a solid business and got both monetary comforts and business just with one blog.?

Any input or guides?

Research more and write as you learn.

Your blog can be a tool to educate others and yourself as well. Write about new things that you find out that you think others could benefit from. You don't have to be an expert to write a blog.

Start with topics you do know. There will always be people looking for answers to those easy questions as well.

As you progress through your training you can go towards more complex and advanced topics, but you will already have a solid foundation.

    Good luck on everything!

    To your success,

You can post about anything, as long as you're knowledgeable and passionate about it. Your passion will come across on the screen and inspire others. Make sure you use your authentic voice when you write....don't write to an audience, write to YOU. Your audience will find you and appreciate your sincerity. Authenticity is valued on the Internet.

If you're writing about more than one niche on one blog, it's a good idea to have categories, so you can organize the blog properly, and make it easy for people to find the information that interests them most.

    Very good answers here.

What you can also do, is visit other blogs in the niche and sub-niche that you're well versed in and research what these other blogs are posting on their blogs.

Then simply model what these other blogs are posting(notice I said model and not copy) you can find unlimited ideas on what to post by simply doing this simple research on other blogs on the subject that you're educated in.

To start your blog, write what you know. That's like very basic, write from your gut and then improve them as you go. There are a lot of topic sin Google for you to reference from.

Not sure what you looking for ? Motivation, or content ?

First, be more specific, SEO, and Make Money Online are not the same topic, who is your target audience ?

When you decide, learn more about what you want to write, before you start blogging.

No, don't start writing before you comfortable enough to write for your own head so you don't end in trap of copying others content.

If your issue is motivational and keeping up, I would recommend do what I did, and join blogger meetup, it helps a lot as you know you are not alone struggling keeping up with content in timely manner, they provide you with tips of how to do that

    Hey there

First thing you need to do is start taking action do you most people online don't?

That's why they never make any money!!

In terms of blog ideas! Compile a list of the most popular websites in your niche and do some research on there.

You will find they have hundreds of posts and often a section with the most popular posts!!

HINT HINT.....model your posts of them and get ideas but don't copy!!

It's important to define and then understand your audience. Target a group of prospects that you can write to and cater to. Market research will help you to identify gaps or holes in the marketplace that you might be able to fill.

One of the biggest mistakes that new bloggers make is to assume that everyone is their audience. If you eventually want to make money with your blog you would do well to position yourself in a niche that you can serve with both blog content and paid products/services.

Right from the start, begin a subscriber list and begin to nurture those that sign up for your emails.

    The best to you,

Looks like you are spreading your net too wide!

I would narrow down your niche to start with. For example even SEO, in itself, is a huge area to cover properly.

If I were you I would figure out what is the most pressing problem that people have and then write about that.

Often your own problem and pain can be the guide. So your problem is how to create content. So why not write about that problem and how you are solving it?

For example Pat Flynn started to blog about his experiment in creating passive income. Now he has a huge following of people who want to follow his example.

Don't be afraid of not appearing an expert. Take your blog readers on your journey of how to find and create good content for your blog.

You'll soon have plenty of readers following you!

    Hello there,

Blogging can definitely bring success; however, it entails hard work, patience and Web presence. It's best to start off with more personal blogs; create more content about what you want people to perceive you in this market. Are you techy? Are you more on architecture or home design? In this way, you will have more content to right about after...

Then, you can start introducing products through affiliate marketing. However, it must remain personal, since you have built a presence in the Web like that. In this way, people will rely on you and make you as their source.

    Best of luck!

To overcome writer's block, just write from your heart and what you know. Treat it as you were writing "personal diary". Perhaps consider it as you were replying an email. That will make writing easy. It doesn't have to sounds professional but just make it easy to read for your readers. Before you know it, you already written 400 words of articles.

You said, you already have the idea on the basics. Every beginner on blogging and SEO would want to understand and start somewhere, if you could provide those content to them, then do it. Those bloggers that you mentioned who have already monetized their blogs have already established themselves as experts. You will get there, but you need a solid way to start.

Basically, not everyone on the internet has original content. Some of the bloggers may have spun the popular articles and made it their own. If you are seriously asking for a tip, I would say follow great bloggers and do proper research on the topics you want to pursue.

    Why are you writing?
    What problems can you solve?
What problems do your readers need help with?

Get clear on the above, it will take you a long way.

Once you know what you want to accomplish with your blog and what problems you can and want to solve, you can ask your readers or look at answer/questions forums/sites to see what questions your prospects ask and give them your best answers.

This forum has a lot of questions that keep coming up and lots of people give answers, some of them entirely wrong, some good. You can get a lot of good ideas from such threads.

Not to mention, most of them may have already hired a team of writers to get their blogs running. The bottom line is, you have to first become trusted on the niche that you would like to penetrate, aim to help people who are potentially going to be your primary followers and spread the word about you.

So you are looking for content ideas? Why not start by writing an article about your question, "How do others write posts?" Compile the suggestions you like on this thread. Instead of a general google search, check out your favorite marketing blogs or bloggers on writing tips.

Personally speaking, it doesn't sound like you love SEO.

What are you actually passionate about? What do you actually like reading about?

Write about that stuff, there's other niche's and you'll find that the writing will take care of itself.

Thanks, well I am not sure but I do offer SEO services to clients and have even achieved ranking as well but I always test and then does not maintain any proof except that they rank.

Even not sure what I am passionate about, I just do SEO for my bread and butter and I really feel very afraid when I sit for writing, after writing what next? traffic and again when it comes I just stuck. I do work for clients but when it comes to my own site I just dont do anything.

Your words just opened up me, I will have to think serious on this now.

      Thanks.

If a person is stuck, it could mean a lack of knowledge. If you know a lot about something, you will never run out of content to write about. Read more. It helps

Or it could be that you are not a fluent writer. The solution is to write every day until it is effortless to let the thoughts flow through the ink. The more you read and write, the better you'll become as a blogger.

It's just an every day discipline. If you enjoy what you do, it will be a fun thing to do rather than a burden.

I know it's tough to start but the key here is all about passion. Read the content published by other bloggers and try to devise a creative sense on how to begin. All the topics you have listed have enormous amount of information available on the internet where every one is trying to contribute something. If you want to stand out among them then focus on telling the practical aspects of these things. Instead of talking about the juice focus on the ingredients that lead to the final product e.g what sources are available to improve SEO and basics to launch oneself into online money making business.

Keep it short, concise and engaging so that a site visitor doesn't loose interest.

    Cheers-James

    Focus on 1 topic.

Build your expertise in 1 area.

    Take this step to:

    * reduce noise/clutter in your mind
    * build trust (become a go-to guy in that niche)
    * monetize effectively

Follow 1 niche you feel passionate about. Passionate energy fuels your blogging journey.

Example; if you have fun covering your blogging topic, the fun is the reward. Money and traffic and popularity become extra's, or add on's. This specific mindset lays the foundation for an inspired, successful blog.

You should cover only 1 topic to avoid being a jack of all trades but master of none.

This is the first step in building a profitable, successful blog.

    Thanks
