The company I work for runs has items listed on E-bay. They are not auction items but buy now items. We sell anywhere from 1-2 items a month this way. Would it be better to open a store? Would I be able to market it better? Get more traffic in general from E-bay? Paid Advertisements? Things of that nature.

Any advice is super helpful! Thanks

I would focus on getting more sales online before opening a store to make sure that you have enough money to cover the costs of running a store.

Do more online marketing. Like you said try to get more traffic from eBay and paid advertising.

Yea it seems that's the best route! I can't seem to find a way to promote the products we have with static pricing. Since they aren't auctions. I'll have to try and figure that out.

  • Yes even buy it now items goes well. The techniques you have to follow are more to get more sales on eBay. See where you are failing. Do some researches to list them well in right categories. Marketing is important. Off course, basic listing descriptions, categorizing them, finding right pricing for your products are also important. Off all, offering good service to your customers turns them to be loyal to you ; )

My Family sells a lot on eBay, a combine total of about 30,000 feedback though multiple accounts.

Some accounts have stores, some don't. The only reason we will switch to a store account is if we're listing a lot of product, so save on listing fees.

In your case, it sounds like you just have a few products "But It Now" that run indefinitely. Make sure you're not relisting it every 30 days.

If you think your product well sell, then you have to optimize it for eBay.

    1) Make sure you have 12 images (eBay gives you a bump)

    2) Make sure you are a top rated seller (eBay gives you a bump) - There are tricks to become a top rated seller.

    3) Make sure you fill out all the attributes (eBay will index off those)

    4) Make sure your title is keyword rich "Best Instant marketing Program Guide IM - Sell your Items" - Now you didn't have room in the title for the keywords "email, video, etc" so you'll need to create attributes like "Type of Material 1" and type in "Email"

    5) The more items you sell, the more watchers you have, eBay moves those higher. Ebay is in the selling products business and they are going to promote the products they think will make the most conversions.

I'll make sure to make some of these changes to the best of my ability to try and receive new results.

You're definitely better off opening a store and directing organic traffic to it. you'd at least get 3-4 sales a month.
