Is submitting to social bookmark sites via automatic submission such as Only wire considered spam by google or is it beneficial to increase website traffic ?

    Social bookmarking sites used to visit by google very often for each 15-20 mins.
    So, if you have links on social bookmarks sites, google wil count lots of links pointing your site within short period. So, it will think it as NOT natural linking and it will consider you as spamming.

    Say, if you get 50 links per day, get it for next 10-15 days. Then google will feel comfortable with you.

    Just make it consistent number of links back to your site for few days shouldn't be much a problem...

    A sudden spike of backlinks may trigger Google temporary filter - Google Dance.

    I never use those tools to bookmark my site on blog. Only my content/videos etc.

    If you links grow to fast to your site google will SLAP you
