Is Market Samurai still relevant and a good tool?

As per question really, using the advised 'golden rules' of search volume and competition strength etc...is it still a viable tool to use for basing good keyword research on?

I haven't used it in years, I don't know if it's been updated but I think the biggest problem is that it uses SEO cues like "Has keyword in the title" that are somewhat deprecated. Hopefully someone else can shed a little more light on this.

I like to just use the Moz plugin for DA/PA and a little common sense. If I really want to sample a market before I enter it I will use a few parasite hosts (like YT and 100 others).

I think every keyword tool like Market Samurai has its own quirks, priorities, and methodologies. None of them claim to be totally accurate or always the most reliable.

I think the smart thing to do is to not rely on any one tool exclusively. When you're doing market research, get results from half a dozen sources and you will begin to see trends and patterns with each one over time.

Remember that tools are there to help you make informed decisions in your marketing - they are not a panacea on which you should base final decisions.

Used to be a great tool back in the days but I guess everything has its end.

I used to use it, but now I only use LongTail Pro. It's very good.
Not sure if Market Samurai still works.

I used to use it, several years ago, and it was an excellent tool then. But, I haven't needed it in a long time, and am honestly surprised it's still on the market. It must have been updated. Things in IM have changed so much since I used to use it.

I have only used the free trial version. Though I register several times with different emails in different times.

I realised that it couldn't catch the performance of other software like Long Tail Pro.

Even the keyword planner is more helpful than Market Samurai on many occasions.

However, I invite you to use the free trial that Market Samurai offers and then you can decide by yourself.

In my opinion, the company is focusing now more in Content Samurai and they are investing their assets in improving this last software.

Content Samurai is for creating interactive video presentations. A good resource from my experience

I will be happy to hear from your own experience if you use Market Samurai free trial.

I actually purchased it and used it in the days of the 30 day challenge, but not fired it up for ages. Had a look over the last few days and am thinking that it is simply outdated and not something to base a whole niche or idea on alone. But at the time I thought it was great and managed to rank 1 for a couple of keywords i aimed for

Why not stick to Google Keywords Planner? It's free and they provide a lot of information about your market also.

Compare back in 2013, a lot of people blog about this tool but doesn't seem to be as popular as others new keywords tools today.

    In short no.

There are a lot better tools. In fact you'd be hard pressed to find a worse one.

Applications are outdated, go cloud based.
