I update my site at least twice a week.
My site contains online calculators and converters,
so it is very important to add new content and update the existing one.

It depends what type of website you are running. If you have a blog, then of course your reader would expect you update it more often. If you have a static website on a certain niche, update whenever you have new content ready, probably a few times a month. It all depends on what is your objective you want to achieve with the website.

From SEO standpoint, search engine like fresh content and website that is updated frequently will get an extra edge. However having frequently updated website alone definitely does not guarantee a good ranking as there are more important factors that search engine is taking into consideration.

As often as you need to update your website. What do you mean by updating? Adding content? At least a couple to a few times per week in my opinion.

Consistency is the most important thing. Don't update 7 days one week, 3 days the next, then 2 days, then 4, then 1, etc., etc. People and the search engines expect consistency.

Hello, It;s not enough clear what did you mean by updating?

If it s WordPress website then you need to update whenever an update is ready for a plugin or WordPress version. If it is about content then you should create a content marketing calendar and maintain consistency. Thanks :-)
