Need help with solo ads ideas

Hi warriors,

I need help with some ideas to get people meet up. I have a client is financial adviser and he asking me if whether can use solo ads to help his business.

I have many experience in solo ads through build sales funnel selling online products but this time is getting them out to meet up instead of just buying online products.

Which means the solo ads system is something like this

Buy Click to my squeeze page -> Subscribe my mailing list -> Arrange appointment to meet up.

Arrange appointment to meet up is the part that I'm stuck. The best idea I can think of is using seminar event to get them out.

Any recommendation or ideas will be helpful.

    It will be difficult to arrange physical meetings via solo ads as you have no control over the geographies of the people you mail out to. Possibly country level at best.


    You really need traffic that you can filter on geography like ads on Facebook, Google, YouTube etc.


    I can't imagine people who need a financial advisor will travel far to meet them (unless they have a lot of money to manage).


    Not sure a seminar is the right route either. Financial advice by it's very nature is generally something you want to keep private so maybe 30 minute 1 to 1 free advice sessions?


    Maybe a seminar would work if you target a specific niche perhaps like advice on pensions or even narrower like 'how to retire early' or 'how to wipe out your credit card debt'. You would need to offer something (exciting) that they really want. General financial advice doesn't sound very exciting.

    I think there is a potential of the idea but required a proper plan.

    What customer really care the most is "what's in it for me"? Why do I have to meet up with this consultant/advisor.

    So I think the main thing is to work with your advisor and come out with a deal to offer customer who agree to spend their precious time and meet up. As you know, people don't like to be sold, and they don't like to waste time. If the reason was not defined clearly, the only thing in their mind is that the meeting is for adviser to sell them financial plan, which I am quite sure the customer will be turn off right from the beginning..

    So, instead I suggest to think of something of value that entice customer to come for the meeting. For example, offer an exclusive 30 mins free consultation for advice in share investment. It's good that your financial adviser set up his own website with his service, achievements, experience, awards, etc to add to his credibility.

    Alternatively, conduct a half day seminar with the interesting topic such as "how to triple and even quadruple your investment profits just by following 3 simple steps - Dummy proof!". Offer limited free ticket for the first 20 people who sign up.

    Of course, the above are just example based on my opinion. I believed you can think of more better suggestions.

    Hi newbieleoling, solo ads can help your client boost his business. However, he needs to be more specific/laser focused on who is his ideal client .

    Is he primarily interested in providing financial advisory services to corporate organizations or to individuals. Personal Finance Advisory Services and Corporate Financial Advisory Services are 2 different niches and require different approaches?

    Your current system :- " Buy Click to your clients squeeze page --> Subscribe to your clients mailing list--> Meet Up With your Client " is basically okay.

    However it needs tweaking to become more effective.

    What is your client offering on his squeeze page? He needs to offer something of significant value to his audience. A high value physical Free Special Report/White Paper that is delivered to a physical address is okay. It will enable your client know the physical location of his prospects. This can be followed by free 6-part online video training spread over 2 weeks . He can subsequently send them a detailed online questionnaire that enables him get a much clearer picture of the needs of his prospects.

    At the end of this process, he will know:-

    (i) Which of his potential clients are actually in the same geographical location as him,
    (ii) What their financial advisory needs are,
    (iii) Which of those prospects are worth pursuing
    (iv) The contact details(email address, physical address, phone number, e.t.c.) of the prospects he wishes to pursue.

    He can then proceed with offline marketing strategies such as a seminar at a physical location that is convenient to his prospects.

      The OPs client needs face to face meetings. I am asuming the client will be limited to at least a state (or the jurisdiction in whatever country he is in) if only for finacial legalities.

      If you do not geo target initially it will not be targeted.

      If he is paying for traffic (solo ads or anything else) it will only be viable if it is geo targeted.

      Although your ideas above could be viable if he were using local SEO to generate the leads as this would geo target by default.

        You are right Tony, geo-targeting is important. I assumed that would be included in the OP's selection process for choosing which vendors to buy solo ads from.
