What Do You Guys Charge Businesses For This Service?

Hey Warriors

I need some help from any of you who have worked with offline businesses in the past ie building website, optimising for SEO and building links etc.

I have been approached by my friends sister in law who is a photographer and wants to bring her business online, She would like for me to build her site and help her rank for certain local keywords.

I have never previously done this for anbody other than myself so I don't no what I should be charging for this service, If you wouldn't mind telling me what you guys are charging for a similar service and also what your service provides if you would be kind enough.

Thanks
Bryan

    Hey Bryan!

The hardest process out of all of this has been completed; you have a client. If you have no expierience making websites....I would outsource that portion and charge 20-50% markup on what the outsourcer charges you. Tell them to include a CMS system so you can easily make changes. If the photographer has no expierience with websites try not to make it sound easy and you keep FULL control of everything.

For offline SEO optimization once the site has been made I charge minimum $500 for a Mindmap. A mindmap is a wonderful tool to outline exactly how she will rank on local keywords....and then you leave her with that. What you then offer is if it is too complicated for her to understand or if she simply does not have the time then tell her you will take care of everything and all she has to do is provide you with the photos. My hourly rate to handle that is $40 an hour. I know people who charge ALOT more and ALOT less.....do what you feel would be good after you scope out her budget. After you get her as a happy client 9 out of 10 times you will get recommended to friends ect...and then you have her as your portfolio and you can bump up your prices

There are lots of great WSO's for offline biz, but one marketer I also recommend is Maria Gudelis. If you want I can PM you with a link to one of her reports you can purchase that will help you with your exact question.

    All the best!

Larocca thats great information thanks, Just a quick question if my client doesn't have a clue how to handle a website (which is the case) would you recommend me hosting her site for her on my server and maybe charging a small monthly fee or would you suggest opening a new account for her so she has full control of her site?
