How is this site monetised?

How is this site monetized, other than the banner at the top.

I see that they collect emails, but do you think it will be a success in terms of email marketing? There are loads of very very similar sites about, so I have just picked this one for no reason really other than when i do see these sites/blogs/fb adverts it makes me wonder if and how they are working in terms of revenue..

Anyone here have any experience with this sort of area, generic health and lifestyle? Just seems like a massive area - I focus on some areas/niches that are far more specific but often drain me even though I am fairly knowledgeable about the topics...and would definitely like to consider a more light-hearted topic IF it were also financially worth it.

Please, if anyone has any thoughts or input then that would be appreciated

    They accept advertising on their site - that's one source of revenue. There are banner ads, that's another source. There are ads for Victoria's Secret so they are probably doing affiliate or referral sales. And they are big on collecting subscriber names to their web site . . . which suggests they probably do email marketing (of their own or others' offers). That's just what I see at a quick glance. Plenty of monetization.

    Run the site URL through SimilarWeb and you'll learn a lot more about what they're doing. It seems fairly straightforward to me.

    It looks like the main goal of the site is to collect email addresses, since they have the email form front and center, it's the first thing visitors will see.

    They also have a popup when you go into the articles, trying to collect likes and emails as well. The email signup is everywhere, so I'd say that's their angle.

    Collecting email list is their main priority, as you can see the opt-in box is everywhere which they optimize to the max. Believe it or not, they have 1.2 millions subscribers

    Well, some say you should earn $1 per month per subscriber. So if they have 1.2mil subs, they earn $1.2mil/mo, which I doubt, IMO.

    Would be interesting to know their conversion rate.

      Like others have said, they have an Advertising page where they give more details: Advertise | Greatist

      They have some amazing stats and a huge following on social media, so they definitely have multiple possibilities for making money (banner ads, sponsored articles, paid social media posts and more)

      Sooort of yes..well a niche that I think I could generate interest with definitely, but in terms of generating money, i asked this a while back and got shot down...but there is definitely a niche there. Might try to revive it again, if subscribers or visitors are worth as much as some seem to say here (advice or points of view? please id love to hear), did not consider paid advertisers...i was thinking more of getting interest but WHAT to do with them afterwards...but if i could get a decent amount of visitors then that might be an interesting way forward for me.
