My Top 5 Types Of Content that Will Drive You More Traffic!

Hey Guys

My names Daniel Zen, This is my first post on the Warrior Forum but I've been involved in Internet marketing for the better part of a decade!

And by far the hardest thing to get your head around especially for a beginner is driving traffic.

It took me a couple of years to fully understand the content required to drive traffic.

Anyway after attempting all different types of content and reviewing the performance of each time i created new content.

As they say the stats don't lie and these are the 5 different types of content that i found the most effective .

5) Info-graphics:
Info-graphics are basically information in media form, this type of content is shared a bunch more frequently then just text, It engages those viewing and creates a way for others to basically drive traffic for you by sharing the information+graphic thats been created.

4) Videos:
Videos not only rank your website/blog up extremely, but they also leave a lasting impression on viewers. These videos can be as simple as you speaking for a minute about your niche or product, or even a video of images and texts relating to your website.

3)Guides:
Guides are a great way of ranking up your website and bringing in traffic, guides are generally fairly long, but that doesn't mean they have to be difficult by any means.
It should be fairly straight forward as long as you know what your guide is about.
Weight loss/Internet marketing/Cooking/Fishing all these are extremely easy to create guides for as many are just step by step processes, but generate a huge amount of key words great for getting your website ranked!

2)Reviews
:
Reviews are one of the top searched areas WORLDWIDE, reviews on products, reviews on books, reviews on programs, reviews on websites it really goes on and on. And the great thing about reviews is that it doesn't matter the niche, reviewing is always relevant.
Reviews are also up there with the easiest to create. One picture, a rating, pro's and con's and a short personal opinion and that's all!

1)Lists:
Lists are by far the easiest to create, and not only easy to create they are up there with reviews as the most searched!. It's as simple as "top 10 exercises to lose weight"
"top 10 online money making programs" "top 10 easiest foods to make for brunch"
And so on, the great things about lists is that they are also very easy to promote products!

Anyway Hope You Guys Enjoyed This Thread Please Let Me Know What You Thought!

    Hi Daniel

Welcome to the Warrior Forum. Great post. What tool or software do you use to design infographics? Infographics are amazing but they also take a lot of time to create and can be really expensive to outsource.

Do you have any suggestions for an inexpensive but simple tool or resource that even someone without a designers background can use?

      Hello SadiyyaPatel,

One of the ones I use is Publisher or Power Point by Microsoft. they was both easy to learn and have tons of how to videos on you tube.

Try Piktochart.. They have free templates and of course paid ones. But the free templates is enough to get you started

    Good list and welcome Daniel

Infographics are not only a great way to drive traffic, you can get quite a few backlinks from it as well.

Especially if you use the "guestographic" technique by Brian Dean.

Do you make you infographics yourself of outsource them?

      Hey Mastery1,

Thanks for the welcome and comment, I make the info-graphics my self purely because on Canva I find it really easy and cost free to create.

And usually won't take me longer then 10 minutes as long as I already have a rough idea in my head

I like reading posts like these that talk about the essentials! Many of us know about this list but at the same time many focus on just 3 types of content because it is easier. So lists like these remind us to move out of our comfort zone and to try out the other types of content which are less easier to do (for me it's creating videos), but can freshen up our website/blogs and drive more shares and traffic!

      Exactly right,
I also really find it difficult to make videos, especially of myself speaking.
But overtime i grew in confidence and the results I was achieving through my first few videos gave me the motivation to keep at them.

In saying that you can always create videos without you saying a word and let music and images do all the work, or even outsource others to speak for you through fiverr or other websites for a minimal price.

What about books or products reviews, how-to (testimonials) content, interviews? How they work?
    {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[10863830].message }}
    • Profile picture of the author Daniel Zen
      Hey Alexis,

Yes I mentioned book and product reviews they are great,

how-to content is also a good way to direct traffic towards your websites if those how-to steps bring benefit to others, its extremely likely they'll come back to your website again

I haven't really gone in depth with testimonials, but many of the top websites have hundreds of testimonials so you'd think they are beneficial.

Good article,I would say that what ever you do also submit to reddit and other social media. Also, Great App Buzzsumo helps YOU market and get traffic.Helps YOU find important people in your niche.
For example:who is most important in weight loss industry...Who is that person? All you need is a
blog link to read something they wrote and you will get it there.

Why is that important for your traffic?Because you can make a post or comment on twitter in which you say something like @ThatPerson said that...and I tried it and it happened for me,I had good result....

They are authority, you credit them, they retwitt your twitt to,lets say 20,000 people.
That's how viral marketing starts. Some will ignore you, some will not.
You need only one to do that and bingo.Try it,it cost you little time, that is all.You can make a lot of money if you do it well.
    Good luck Dan

      Hey Katarina,

That's a great strategy to use, I haven't heard of those sites and the fact you're saying they can help find important people in your niche, can be extremely beneficial.

I use twitter daily but I have yet to look into getting promoted by the huge internet marketers on twitter.
      Thanks for the comment

Correct amalrichard, the main thing is to provide what viewers are looking for, if you can do that your job is basically done, along with monetizing correctly

Great post, true about getting more traffic with this "methods". But even more traffic will be pulled if you merge two of them. Like video reviews or video guides, top10 videos. Those are traffic magnets!

In my own personal experience . . .

Content is usually not the problem. If you know and understand the wants of your audience, you should be able to provide the solutions and information they need. If you can't create the content yourself, there are lots of paid service alternatives (content writers, ghost writers, partners, etc) that will get the job done for you.

Where most marketers struggle with content marketing is distributing their content to places where their target market will engage with it. Most have a few places they typically send their content to (their blog, web site, FB page) but not many are actually good at getting their content on heavily trafficked authority sites.

If your prospects don't see it . . . content's effectiveness is severely diminished. Just throwing up content on a new web site or blog isn't going to make much of a difference for a long, long time.

Infographics... I absolutely see the potential in those, and frequently republish other people's, but they appear to be time consuming to produce?
