One of the best things about being authority is you can write things like

10 Pieces of Content Your Audience Really Wants to See [New Data]

By Hubspot it is!

And the top trends are:

Videos
Social Media
News Articles
Research Content
Online Classes/Educational Games

Like that is news?

However, did you notice #5?

Add Virtual Reality and Gamification to that mix....

... and you might be on to a winner.

Enjoy!

Amazon might like to add increased "laziness" to the mix with it's release of their second generation of "echodot"

The ever pervasive intermingling of technology with our everyday lives.

If you haven't seen the echodot yet you can do so here (not an affiliate link)

    Best regards,

You know the sad thing about trends?

Lots of "wanna be" marketers chase them and never really get down to exploiting profitable niches. They jump from trend to trend and try to ride the wave but never really establish a sound business. Unfortunately, they are usually jumping on the wave as it is dying out. They rarely build lists of devoted niche spenders and don't take the time to establish any authority in any market.

Riding trends seems to be the "sexy" thing to do. Live for the day, get a rush from the excitement, and always be looking for greener pastures just over the next hill.

To each his own. My guess is . . . 95% of the profitable money making business owners that I have met are focusing on one market and building a business over time. They are building authority, a following of like-minded fans, and a reputation as a leader in their topic.

This is very true. People chasing trends will always be behind them.

I've been very profitable over the last few years because I've focused on one thing...writing the best content I can for my clients. I've found a few topics that I tend to write well about and have gotten plenty of business within those industries. Many of my clients have come to me.

And I've done all this while ignoring the latest SEO trends, social marketing techniques, etc. Nor do I constantly search for the hottest affiliate program on Clickbank.

I've always advocated that the best way to make money is to find something you're passionate about, and go from there.

      Just my $.02.

News articles and social/viral videos work best for me for attracting attention. Using a catchy headline, that focuses on whatever breaking news stories are hot for the day, goes a long way in getting clicks.
