How to improve decrease in sales / Review site

Hey Warriors,

It has been a long time since I posted/asked advise here.

So, I have a review site that leads to Amazon products, it is running smoothly and brought in $500 (approx) in revenu so far this year on complete autopilot.

The only thing I do is post to a related facebook page and I think this leads visitors to the site as well.

The last 3 months there is a significant decrease in sales.... What should I do to boost things up again?

Any advise would be highly appreciated.

  • I think you've done well to make $500 without doing anything. I think it's time to start putting work into the website. I suggest a better theme, not so many posts on the main page, a logo, as well as pages every website should have: Contact, About, Terms and Privacy. I don't see any Amazon ads above the fold, so I would place one in the header possibly or at the top of the sidebar. If your bounce rate is high, you may catch some people before they leave.

Are you tracking visitor stats using Google Analytics? If so, where are you acquiring your visitors from? Keywords? Facebook? Whatever source is giving you the most traffic I believe you should focus your efforts on.

  • For anyone to tell you what you should or shouldn't do without studying your website, offers, marketing, etc is just plain foolishness. How does a random stranger tell you in a forum what the real issues are?

I will say this . . . you claim to have made $500 in revenue on complete autopilot. That suggests to me that you have not been actively involved in your business from a marketing standpoint. Times change, markets are dynamic, preferences and desires of consumers are fickle, and offers and sales messages get stale over time.

I would encourage to get involved in your business on a daily basis and see what's going on. Saying your business is on complete autopilot says to me that you're not paying attention to what is going on.

    • He does link to his site in his post. I looked at his site and made a couple observations based on what I saw. Am I an expert in design or marketing? No, but I feel confident enough to give friendly advice to a fellow Warrior. That's why we're all here....or should be anyway!

  • My opinion is that you should start to scale-up the methods the methods that are bringing traffic to your website. For example, you should extend your postings to more than just one facebook page. New content posted regularly on your site will also help
In my opinion autopilot projects don't exist. Each time I find something that produces revenue, I have to continue working on it/ developing it...otherwise, sooner or later it will stop producing money.
  • We need to see your site.
    The product you are promoting.
The type of traffic that comes to the site.
Amout of traffic that comes then and now.

Without these info no one can help.
  • first off, congrats on your success so far..

whatever happens you KNOW you can make money online so don't give up.

but dude, you need to know where your traffic is coming from..

you need to check your google analytics to see daily traffic and check out your google webmaster tools to see what keywords you rank for,.

knowing where traffic comes from allows you to make choices that will take your site to whole new levels.

  • Take it to the next level by creating landing pages, with your own domain names, and maybe collecting emails from an opt-in form. Focus on specific Amazon niche products as well and ones that are popular, like electronics.

  • You can use other social networks also. Then you can analyse what is worth and what is not. Also try to improve content of your site. What will be the result? I think you'll see some changes for better.
  • For starters, change that theme ASAP. The text is wayyy too big it makes it frustrating to read anything.
  • Yeah that is some 80s looking website,
You should focus on your CTA buttons, SEO tactics I have seen a website targeting the same products and making $xxxxx in a month, He used many blackhat techniques so if you are okay with that you can try.

Else the best method would be to use Youtube, Create some quality video and send visitors to your page and make commissions.
