Back at it again and need some advice.

Hey folks been a very long time away but I am back somewhat and need some advice. I have been toying with idea of doing some books for Amazon but find it hard to hit 50 or more pages and not sure how well they do.
My areas of interest are Politics, Islam, Fitness, Nutrition and Prepping 4 Non Preppers.

Not sure if PLR is still alive but was wondering if you can still do them as a WSO and make a few hundred bucks per PLR. These would be from 15 to 50 pages on the above topics.

How many can one realistically sell and for how much each?

P.S. If I was do offer them as a WSO what would be a good price for say a 15-30 page book/report and how many copies should I offer up?

    John,

    Quality content will always be needed by someone. It will depend on what exactly you are putting out and how relevant it is. Niches like fitness and nutrition are evergreen. I.E. There will always be people who are overweight and under healthy.

    The prepping niche is also quite productive for content. Many people are worried about the state of affairs and the need for things like homesteading and disaster prep is growing.

    So yes, lots of potential PLR stuff just from those those areas.

    If your just looking for a starting income stream you have several options. here are a couple quick ones just based on your post:

    Sell as PLR
    Offer Custom Article Writing Services
    Offer Graphics Design work

    These three options can all be done at once and will likely cover the same stuff you are already putting together, especially if your plan was to write a book.

    Are you saying you hit a writers block or something? Read some writing blogs, there's some great tips for beginner writers (e.g., use dragon naturally speaking, something like that).

    If you can create great content, have you considered selling your knowledge on udemy or similar sites?

      I just always feel that I need to write more than 100 pages. Most kindle books I have bought have been 200-300 pages.

      I normally have a regular job but things have been tight so since I started writing books on several topics for kindle I thought about maybe doing them here as a PLR WSO.

    I have no experience with Amazon Kindle or anything other than reading books on it. But, my advice is to focus on quality, not quantity. As a reader, it's very easy to tell who is writing about fluff and who isn't. I appreciate the people who get to the point with real knowledge on the subject matter and don't just aim to write endless pages of dribble.

    As a side note, I've been thinking about venturing into Amazon Kindle to give away free ebooks as a lead generation in the fitness industry. Essentially, writing books and allowing them to be downloaded for free, then somehow directing users to my site. Has anyone done that or know if it is allowed by Amazon?

      Not a problem as I don't view it as an attack. Nothing in life is easy. Mentally I just feel my books should be 100 pages or more but problem is I then run out of things to say.

        I would rather read 50 pages that are right to the point than 100 pages that are half full of fluff! If your content is good, your book length is not as much of an issue.

          Thanks Kevin. I think it's more of a mental thing after having read so many books that are 200 plus pages that I start to question myself. Like you I hate fluff.

        i have that problem too..

        what we think ppl want and what they want might surprise you..

        you gotta test.

        look for kindle authors who succeeded with 30 page books. if they cant why couldnt you?

    Today many advice against using even re-written PLR on blogs because it does not help build authority. But you can market the PLR to today's bloggers as an easier way to build an e-mail list by giving the re-written version as a free download.

    You can also market your PLR as content for social media posts, guest posts (with 35% new research added) and newsletters. I think PLR is still alive because it is still way cheaper than hiring a writer. Plus, businesses can use both PLR and ghostwriters/freelance writers to meet their budget and needs.
