What kind of affiliate products can you sell on a Relationship Site?

Hello,
Apart from clickbank products, what kind of products can you sell on a relationship site? There are lots of books on amazon but the commissions are pathetic on those ones. Please let me know ways to monetize a relationship site.

Thanks

If you're not keen on Clickbank products, why don't you try CPA offers for membership dating sites. You can find a lot of these in Affiliate companies like Clickbooth and some pay as much as $11 a lead.

    Hope this helps,

I agree with haveplenty, there are a lot of CPA offers within that niche that pay just for the lead. Try it out!

Your offers do not all have to be about "relationships." They can be about other things people interested in relationship issues are interested in. For example, do you think that some of them might be interested in weight loss? Or that they might wear shoes? Or that they might want to take a vacation?

If you know who visits your site, you can determine what interests they may have, and what offers would be attractive to them.

BTW--You might test putting some Amazon ads on the site. Remember that you get paid on what they buy, so if you show an ad for a relationship book but they click through and buy a plasma TV, $$$. Also, if you make enough sales, your commission rates do get better. I'm not saying you should definitely use Amazon, but you might want to consider/test it.

What about flowers? Engraved gifts? Wine? I'm sure there's tons of CJ affiliates that would fit the bill!

I would assume in the relationship niche you could cover an array of different products. For example, you could offer self help products like getting over depression or Tony Robbins type of products.

Sometimes people have trouble fixing their relationship because they have personal needs they need to fix first.

Also, if you're comfortable with it, you could promote intimate products. Like how to have better sex with your partner or promote vacation destination where couple can go to get away together.

As you can see, you can do lots of different things. Of course that just my 2 cents.

    Hope this helps,
    Brad

I was going to give the same idea for relationship membership sites that has already been mentioned. It's too bad that book commissions are so low - there are SO many.

I looked into this myself a short time ago, and I think that aside from Clickbank offers, the best way is to go directly to online dating services and sign up with their own affiliate programs.

It depends on exactly what kind of content your relationship site covers, but I found there are a tonne of different kinds of services, so chances are high you'll find one that matches your audience. Yes, there are the more 'intense' services shall we say, but there are also some some services that come across as being fairly easy going, and several that are very interest specific.

Each of the services tends to have three kinds of payouts. The tend to pay $1 to $2 dollars for every person you refer to sign up for a free trial. They'll pay around $30 or so flat rate for initial membership signups. Or, they'll pay varying percentages across the board for referring people to different offers they run.

Some of the individual services will also have 30 different special interest sites, so you can sign up with one and then promote a stack of different things, so you can really build a whole revenue plan around online dating services alone.
