Web development for affiliate site

Hi there,
Setting up a website with a product and hope some affiliates will want to promote also. If my affiliate traffic doesn't purchase the moment they land on my site ie ..If they buy later off my newsletter, I still want them to get 70% of purchases in there. How will I make sure regardless they will get the commission? Is it something to do with cookie and session tracking that stays in my or the affiliates computer?? I have someone doing a website for me so what do I need to tell them to do inrespect of this??

Please help someone as I haven't a clue!
Thanks.

If you go with ClickBank.com I believe the cookies last 60 days. Not sure about any other affiliate management tools...

yep will be using clickbank-find this kinda thing hard to understand...so does that mean if an affiliate refers a vistor to my website and then the visitor re-vistits the website via an email/newsletter I have sent then providing it is within 60 days (will check with CB) then the affiliate will still get the commission. Sounds straight forward if I have understood this correctly?

Do Clickbank automatically offer this to you and how is this done - is it through the hoplink codes?

      Cheers
