What To Do When Someone You Bought From Ignores You

Hey All,

I am not going to name any names, but I bought a product from this person a long time ago and was granted lifetime access to this purchase.

Somewhere along the line he changed the login aspects and I lost the ability to log in. So I submitted SEVERAL help ticket requests with zero response.

Then a few days ago I saw this person on the warrior forum posting a reply so I contacted him through the PM system.

Again NO RESPONSE...

I feel like calling this person out as they have really ticked me off by not responding and not honoring what I paid for.

Do you have any suggestions? It seems like I have tried everything I can. In my warrior PM I sent him the full description of what I bought, the paypal id, our conversation and everything, now 5 days later still NO response.

Ideas?

Check your PayPal history and see if there are other means attached to the PayPal account that would allow you contact this person.

Have you tried finding out more indepth contact info from their WHOIs ect?

Other then that....unfortunately I have been in those shoes before, and after many arguements with high up reps at paypal on the phone...they stand strong on the no claims after 45day period. Even with full proof...they wanted nothing to do with it. I have heard however, somepeople still got a chargeback granted with their credit card company and the credit card company defeated PayPal...i tried but here in Canada the bank call center is more unrealiable then me sending a complaint letter to paypal via Pigeon Courier.

PM is not always the best way. So email as well. Give them a few days.

If they have a WSO, mention that you PM or emailed in it.

Tough Spot to be in. I've been there and it's both aggravating and disappointing. It could be something as simple as an overlook, so I'd go for finding another means of communication either via PayPal or an e-mail address. Googling them, etc.

Hope it all works out and hopefully you aren't being intentionally ignored.

Google their name, if it's a real person and track them down through their FaceBook, Skype, Twitter listing etc...

Try and have a polite little chat with them on their social networking wall etc. and continue keeping that business relationship ongoing hopefully!

Call him out would be my choice. Unfortunately, that is the only way some people learn. It is obvious he doesn't care about you so maybe you can help someone else from dealing with him.

As others have said, use WhoIs to find details. But, don't forget that the telephone is harder to ignore than an e-mail and more reliable, and the number is listed in WhoIs (if registered in that person's name).

E-mail is not always reliable. I once had a customer who was starting to get irate. They had e-mailed me and I had answered them, but obviously they had never received my replies. I checked their site on WhoIs and called them. Result: Happy customer.

With Skype Out you can call anywhere in the world for pennies. So start phoning.

I hate to see anyone have to go to such lengths (e.g. stalking a PAID vendor on Google, looking up in WhoIs, etc.) in order to receive what has already been purchased.

In fact it's ridiculous to have to do so, IMO.

I know catastrophes happen, but if someone sells something it should be the very rare case that it goes undelivered.

Well, I have already sent in several support tickets to his help system, the email he had is no longer working.

None of the sites I know he has offers any easy way to contact him.

I figured since he was on the warrior forum and I literally PM'd him just a few minutes after he posted on Thursday that I he would finally respond.

I do not want to publically name him because it is poor business practice and I do not want to engage in such dealings..

And I don't feel like chasing this person all over the place, but I will take a few of the suggestions here and stay vigilant a big longer.

It just stinks when customer service is not just bad, but non existent.
