How do I make $$$ writing articles?

Hello Warriors, I had a question about writing articles for money. I read in a mag that you can write articles and blog posts and make $$$ doing it. I've heard about it on the forum and read about Elance.com. Is this is the only place I can go to be a freelancer? Any help and guidance is appreciated.

I want to do this until I start making some cash with other methods that I'm testing out for now.

Thanks.

Just offer your writing services at a fair price and watch the clients roll in...

Either that or contact one of the other "busy" writers on the forum and see if they need any "help"

If you want to make money by writing articles and placing them on your own blogs (as opposed to -- or in addition to -- blogs that belong to others), one of the members here has a fabulous program that many of us belong to.

It's Amy Bass and her program is TheNicheBlogger.com. You can find it if you search in the WSO area.

Hi Everyone, I used rentacoder for some code I needed fixed and I have to say they were really good. I did not know that they also did articles?

      Thanks for the heads up.

1)You need to write unique articles.

    2)Articles must be Copyscape passed.

3)Keyword density should be up to 2%.

4)Research is required for writing articles.

5)You need to apply 'Latent semantic indexing' and 'Competitor benchmarking' analysis for keywords to be used in articles writing.

6)You can sell your services on 'Warriors for hire' section of this forum, 'Content creation' section of forum digitalpoint, Elace.com and Getafreelancer.com.

7)You can sell your articles on 'WSO' section of this forum and 'Content' section of forum digitalpoint. Use your articles creation service description in the signature of the forum.

8)You need to sell articles at low prices first and then increase it as you get more and more reviews.

    Good luck.

Write that kind of density for people looking to submit to Ezine Articles and
      you're in big trouble.

EZA will NOT accept anything over 2%

I agree. That kind of density is insane and unnecessary. 8% of a 500 word is forty uses, which is probably going to be one use in virtually every sentence. No one will want to read that, much less publish it.

I would second Audrey's post (#8), Jenn Dize's Power Ghostwriting course is an excellent way to give you structure if you're looking to move into the article writing for other people field.

I would also keep an eye out for Bev Clement who has run mentoring courses in the past as WSO. Bev is another writer with a stellar reputation so may want to check out some of her threads as well.

    Notarealdoctor,

You can start with bidding sites such as Elance, guru, and ifreelance. I have gained several clients from those sites. Be sure to clearly "sell" your services when you bid and make sure that you and the client are on the same page as far as the exact details of the assignment. You can also start a basic website that describes your services. My website in my sig. is a rough example.

One more thing I would recommend is to figure out what your own preferences are in the writing world. For example, some people discover that they have a knack for copywriting while others choose to focus on articles for niche markets. As you write more and gain a variety of experiences, you will probably develop certain preferences on the types of work you want to take on.

I find that sometimes the keyword just fits, and sometimes there is no other word, other than that keyword!...
