I got started with kindle publishing...It works and it is really easy to do. IMO it is the perfect way to get started because you don't need inventory, big marketing budget, etc

I plan on getting into physical products as well.
Basically I'm not really a big time marketer and I'm really unorthodox for the most part.

I already make money online. I've been doing it for 3 year now. I'm more on the services side. And now that I'm a digital nomad I travel and work online. I'm trying to build more residuals outside of services.

I created 2 WSOs already and trying to sell them. I sold a few and hope to sell more but really what I'm going to do is create IP since that is where my passion and talent lie. Just wondering if I should put that IP in book form.

So basically I'm going to be making IP for kids. Then take those same characters and put them in books which are sold through the actual videos.

Here is one of my copyrighted characters.

I'm just selling WSOs about markets that I know. to fund this project without dipping into my money.

So basically making toons in a very hot niche and then directing them to buy Amazon books about the characters.

    What do ya'll think?

I suppose you can make money with eBooks provided that this material is properly exposed and promoted to the right market. Graphic novels not that hard to market these days considering the fact that some of the best Hollywood movies (300:Rise Of An Empire, Batman Vs. Superman: Dawn Of Justice, just to name a few) were based on graphic novels. You just have to pick the right market and then you'll start earning from there...

    Hope this helps.

Like mentioned above...... Amazon Kindle would be a great way for you to test this market out! Although I do not know anything about your niche, I can say I do very well on kindle with consistent monthly checks

    Hope this helps

Of course you can make money with E books. But for me as my Career evolved I got into Video. And it seems that Videos hold more Value than E books. Not saying always but just from my experience.

Yes! There's a lot of money in ebooks. I recently read an article about one guy who pulls in 6 figures from the action/thriller fiction he publishes on Amazon's KDP.

Erotica authors can make good money too since it's a very popular genre. Many erotica authors I know of are pushing out two or three stories per month. Then they bundle a bunch of stories together so they can charge more. I realize erotica isn't everyone's thing, so this is just an example.

The key seems to be that you need to publish a lot to build up a good catalog of books. Unless you hit it big with a bestseller on your first try, you won't make much with one ebook. I recently published my first ebook and I'm working hard writing the second one (it will complement the first) so I can start building my own catalog.

I really don't know much about the market for graphic novels. But whatever niche you decide, do some research to make sure there's a healthy market for it. Even better if it's not oversaturated.

    Hope this helps!

The key is how you link things all together.

You can do well just publishing on Kindle but it is how you link the publications together and generate a following.

Not just for the e-books but to link people out to the products you market outside of the books themselves.

Look to Hollywood or the motion picture business for example.

Any kids focused movie will not be made without a full range of products that surround the movie.

Games, Plushies, Figurines and so on.

Publish the books but look further to capitalise fully.

    Best regards,

    Ozi

Making money through ebooks is the second way I started making money and it will never ever get outdated or old. Its all about supply and demand to make money online or anywhere else. Find a marketplace to enter and a niche to get started with.

Certain things online are better than others but today there is soooo much traffic out there...

Of course you can make money with E books. But for me as my Career evolved I got into Video. And it seems that Videos hold more Value than E books. Not saying always but just from my experience.
VIdeo is king. I make money online with my wife doing spokesperson video. In fact we are probably now one of the big dogs on Fiverr. Top rated seller, 100% Customer Satisfaction, 100% response rate and 100% delivery time. It is our bread and butter. We would probably make triple the money but we decided to only work 2 days a week and not promote ourselves.

We make enough to live off of.

But I'm trying to move to my true passion and one with more potential and that is my IPs. I have a ton of copyrighted IPs.

I'm creating two media companies. One for small children which that little beetle character above is part of.

We are going for Adsense money, sponsors and personal products. The cartoon will promote the books. The cartoon will be in a very big niche with few youtube competitors.

The other is more for young adults and bigger children.
We are making animations, webtoons (if you don't know about Webtoons check it out) and shows.
If you know of Rooster Teeth we are basically going to be another RoosterTeeth.

But I'm going to hit a few markets that are in need of representation.
For example the Furry market on one story, fantasy market on another and scifi on another. The furry market I think is the least unsaturated with actual toons but is a big niche. Just see how well Zootopia did.

Here are some of my characters. As you can tell it will be of high quality. The problem I have been facing is that artists are expensive. I need 5K to be able to get what I need to start both and get 15 to 20 Episodes in.

Once I get the digital asseets I need I have MOCAP technology and such to start getting things going on the animations.

The cool thing about the Kids animation is I will get to monetize it a whole bunch because I can use the same video over and over again but do it in Spanish, French, Chinese, Korean, English and Japanese at this time. Then I can branch out to several other languages.

Right now just trying to earn the final 5K for the project. That is why I also started selling WSOs in the markets I know best.

PS if anyone wants to invest let me know. I'm giving away 30% of the business and that includes for both lines and if I sell movie rights, toy rights, etc for forever. Just imagine the possibilites. That is a side note.

Sounds like you've got to work a bit more and then invest that money into the new venture.

Can you earn double working 4 days a week?

Can you earn triple working 6 days a week?

Those things are within your control and then it is just a matter of time before you have accumulated the capital required to move to the next step.

An investor is going to want you to put more in than 2 days a week.

      Best regards,

      Ozi

How do you do content marketing and not do conversion optimization?

And aren't social and mobile marketing content marketing?

My point? Don't pay attention to all the lists you come across. Figure out where your target audience is, the best ways to reach them, and go for it.

You/they must have a very different definition of content marketing. I have yet to see any kind of marketing where content is not involved... So, to me, content marketing is a meaningless phrase.

With Amazon driving the price of ebooks lower and lower, you're having to make an increasing amount of sales just to break even these days. Thank god there are other options for info publishing in 2016 though.

How is Amazon driving the prices down. I thought the author/publisher set the price.

I personally think there is money in nothing that offers a solution to a common problem. If it is a quality eBook and you truly believe it has benefit and you can convincingly sell it then you can make money in it.

Phase 1 was to make money online. My wife and I have accomplished that together. I cannot do 4 days because she will not do 4 days. WE have other activities we are involved with that are of a higher importance.

Phase 2 is this project with the Kid Show and the Nursery rhymes. Those I work on seperately. Right now it is a labor of love. That gets all my free time at the moment. I just have to invest wisely in time and money. Recently I created a WSO that is now making me a little money. With that WSO I put it inot finishing my animation pipeline. If I sell more WSOs then I put it into my tried and true method of making money which is the asset creation which I outsource. It is just a little slower process being that I'm not using our living money to do things. But I'm investing my extra self earned money on the project. 5K is all I have left to get 2 entire companies rolling for media creation.
One will be like Rooster Teeth and the other like Baby Bum on youtube. Investors would only help to get stuff done in a month vs 1 year of side saving. But I have a pipeline ready to go do awesome stuff. The 5k investment is for building the assets you can use over and over and over again.

That is why I love 3d animation.
I can take the 3 models I make, turn it into 100 cartoon shorts, then turn around and use those same 3d models for illustrations in a childs book. Then turn around and use those 3d models to have toys made. I can even turn 1 animation into 20 by changing the language and hit 20 more markets.

So that is why I thought it would be an exciting investment for some folks.
That is the goal and I reach my goals.

I'm a little unorthodox in many of my approaches but it always works somehow.

Phase 3 is for me not to work anymore and just direct everything. That is where my true talent lies. Delegation. I build it then delegate.

I'm glad to hear all the success in books. Makes a good market I'll be aiming for to monetize.

There is a lot of money in ebooks, but I would suggest you look at ebook money as a secondary income. It's a great way for you to setup and set aside to do its own thing while you focus on bigger things.

I've made a consistent $2,000-$3,000 off an ebook I wrote years ago just by keeping the site up and customers have found the site on its own. It's great recurring income, but don't get into ebooks thinking it's going to change your life overnight.

There is always potential, it depends on the quality and marketing of them.
