I read, I subscribe, I chat with colleagues basically keep an ear to the ground to learn as much about IM as I possibly can. Where my specialty is blogs, content etc I do want to keep up with everything in IM as I think in could indirectly affect what I am doing however it is a task to keep up. I want to remain relevant and I want to ensure I am not caught out at any stage by either a client asking me a question about marketing that I don't know about or me not being up to speed with the latest IM strategy or update. I know I can't know it all, but I do want to be a valuable source of information for people who use my service.
How do you keep up with IM?

Of course there are going to be some things that are a tad too technical for me to get my head around, but on the whole, I'd love to be able to keep up with general IM trends as they happen so I'm in the know just like everyone else.
I have a question from a client when I was juggling the old work and starting up my business, it was about remarketing. Granted I was being run ragged by working two jobs and learning the trade, but a new client was asking about remarketing and how it works, why it works, how to do it and what results people should expect. While I wasn't offering this service, I knew little to nothing about it apart from hearing it now and again.. I felt totally out of the loop.
The challenge of keeping up is real.
While this forum certainly keeps us in the loop and on our toes, where do you get your sources of latest updates on IM, where is your go to for the latest info so that you keep up and know ahead of time what is up and coming. ??
Short of getting a crystal ball, how do you keep up?
