Affiliate Marketing, What's It all Aboot?
So I was just hoping ye could give me a few pointers about how to go about doing this and how to get the best results.
My knowledge on the subject so far is that someone else places my products on websites such as amazon, alibaba or any other selling website and they receive a commission for every sale that they are responsible for.
Is that an accurate enough description of the whole affiliate marketing game? Do affiliate marketers generally do anything else besides selling my products online?
What is the best way to find good affiliate marketers and what is the general rate of commission required to get a good service?
Im worried that employing a decent affiliate marketer will take too much of a chunk out of my turnover to be really worth it.
Is the affiliate marketers commission generally taken from the price of the overall sale they make or the level of profit made from the sale of each item?
If any of you guys have experience working with affiliate marketers, or currently use affiliate marketers, or even better, if you ARE an affiliate marketer id love to hear about your experience and expectations regarding the whole process and relationship. I think hearing about regular professionals first hand experience is better that reading ten blog posts from self styles marketing gurus who dont really give any decent knowledge in their posts.
Similarly if you are an affiliate marketer Id love to hear what you generally expect from your working relationships regarding levels of commission and any other factors that I may currently by ignorant of. What is the best way to find and approach good affiliate marketers like you and what do you generally need from the person you are marketing on behalf of in order to do your job as well as possible.
Cheers guys.
