How Do You Invest 10K? Internet or Offline?

Hello warriors,
Let's have some brainstorming ideas here!
If you wanna invest $10,000 , How would you invest it in the Internet or should you seek other type of offline investment or even trading?

What do you think???

Possibly a little of both. I come from the finance/investment banking world and I still think you should focus your investing online...it worked for me.

If you invest your 10k in the stock market, it will be extremely hard to double your money. The upside of investing is very limited if you dont know what you're doing. TO multiply your money, you either need to know what you are doing with fancy derivatives or shorting or get extremely lucky.

On the other hand, you can invest a fraction of this on the internet and put in a chunk of time ot learn the ropes, and you can easily multiple that 10k. With 10k you can even get a good coach. Granted, the online route will take a while for you to learn, but once you get good, you could be making that 10k in profit per week....many many people do

But if you aren't dedicated and dont want to put in a little work, then stay away from online and dump your money into some boring mutual fund and collect your couple hundred dollars capital gain or dividend at the end of the year.

You might be able to get a CPA offer going with 10K. Depends on your offer though. But that could pay off big if it works! I just know that if you do a $1.95 offer with forced continuity they will want a lot more than 10K up front since they are running a risk with you, bu if you sell a $50 or $100 product through CPA and give the affiliates 80 to 90% then it's a lot less risky to the CPA network and they may not ask for anything up front. That would mean that your only upfront costs would be creating the product and the site.

      The Internet...no doubt.

I have invested much much more than that.
Did it pay off? Yes it did.

I'm now making a fulltime living from the internet.
The only problem is...where should you invest in. There is so much c*ap out there. So be carefull!

If you need any tips, let me know.

10K can make you much much more than investing in stocks.

      Hope you make it big!

      regards,

      Mike

Not the best time to buy gold as price is high.

I'd spend that money getting many websites made and optimised for search engines (it's what I'm doing right now).

Lots of people are buying gold for security, this has driven price up. For a small amount like 10k I wouldn't waste my time with a low yield investment. In UK government guarantees up to £50k even if bank goes under. Even if I had 50k spread out on each group of banks and then had 10k left over I still wouldn't buy gold with it right now. If you had bought last year you would have made an alright return.

Invest in a few really good domain names. In a few years they will be golden.

If I had ridiculous amounts of money then it would make sense to invest it in gold. You may disagree but a $10k investment in gold at todays price isn't going to make anything to write home about. Yes, it will be secure, but if all I had to invest was 10k I wouldn't invest it in gold.

I would rather find a young eager entrepenuer and give it to him as start up capital. Or put it into something that I could do up and flip, maybe develop a software application and get someone to handle the sales for me.

I have been told that I am not risk adverse enough, so the majority of people would not invest money like me I guess. I do go through some ups and downs but the ups are really fun

It depends on what your financial situation is.

Normally I'd recommend buying 100 copies of DLGuard

But failing that, if you're not making a good living online, yet, then I'd use part of the money as working capital, and the rest as a "rainy day fund".

A rainy day fund will certainly help you sleep better at night, and maybe even take a few "risks" with your online business that you may not have without the safety net.

I'm not sure what banks are like in the US at the moment, but if you can find a solid bank that offers decent return then you can put it in there.

In Australia I use ING for this - high interest, no fees, can get your money the next day.

Of course if you already have a rain day fund, and/or if you're making a tonne of money already, then I'd just recommend buying 100 copies of DLGuard.

    cheers

I'd do a little bit of both. It's all about risks, of course, but I think playing it safe and smart is your best bet. I liked the idea that one of the Warrior's had about a rainy day fund as well.
