Where do you host your download files?

Hi, I have a question:

if you set up your sales funnel, what do you do with the download files? I mean, where do you upload them: to your server, or to some external file hostig system?

I host mine on dropbox, you get a link to the download page of each file you upload.

It all depends on what you want to do, how secure you want your files to be, how large the files are, and how many hoops you want your buyers to jump through in order to get their download.

There are a ton of varying workable ways to do it and I think most would agree that there is no one best option. Generally, the paid alternatives are more secure and professional in their process and can save you time and effort in setting things up. But really, it depends on what aspects of the process are important to you and you business.

I would look at Amazon's cloud storage as a reasonable and safe way to store your downloads if you have a lot of files or very large files (like videos). But it's just one alternative among many good ones.

Depending upon the platform you're using for your pages, you can host on your site or with dropbox or something like that. For example, for some landing pages I use a wordpress site and can upload everything straight to the site. I hope that helps and good luck!

My download page is on my own hosting server, but since the download files are quit big, I don't want to use up the space on my server.

I've been looking at Amazon S3, but it's a bit confusing: I don't have any idea what it's going to cost me.
Can I link to .zip files directly when I upload them to Amazon S3?

You can host your downloads on your own server and through small code you can block that url access directly from browser, This way it will be only be accessed from your Thankyou refferal page.

If the files are larger than 1MB I save them on a cloud drive (Dropbox...but Amazon S3, Google drive etc. work as well). If they are lower than 1MB I put them directly on my web server.
