How do you handle advertising for 2 competitors?

Hey guys so if you are already doing marketing for an electrician as an example and 2 or more approach you to do their marketing for them, how would you guys handle such situations?

If they're simply in the same industry, that's not usually an issue. But if they're in direct competition with each other, a professional marketer would work with just one of them.

Anything else would be a conflict of interest.

Ok, what if they each specialize in different aspects of the industry? Let's take the construction industry as an example, there are so many specialties, one does only roofing, another flooring, another sheetrocking, another only concrete e.t.c?

If they have different markets, then they are not competing.
      • What's your question?
      • What do you mean how do you handle it?
      • What exactly is giving you concerns?

That's my thinking. As was mentioned here, I don't want conflict of interest situations so just checking to see how you pro's here handle these situations.

If we are talking about local businesses, then they don't necessarily compete with each other, assuming they operate in different areas?

However, if you get 2 companies from the same area, then you just have to choose to work with one, because otherwise it won't make sense to market both.

I think this can be done as long as you don't engage in negative advertising. Handling both accounts will even help you differentiate each supplier: market them base on their own strengths, customer reviews, experience.

You should pick the best client which has good project budget. Try to find out their budget ask the client what they can spend also choose the client with higher company status.
