wordpress question, does this happen to you guys?

INTERNET MARKETING

well I am over here building a wordpress site and its giving me trouble, I wonder if you guys ever have this problem.

I am making my pages static, but what is happening is that whatever the title of my page is, it shows up at the top of my page. Its really annoying because I am putting in other content and then right next to my headline in big bold letters is "HOME"

any tips gus?

The title is in the page template. If you open page in appearance>> editor>> page template page.php and find <?php the_title(); ?> it my be surrounded by an h1, h2 tag, etc. If you remove this there will be no title on the page.

Is the title of the page HOME? I removed the title from my static page and left it blank and the HOME disappeared off the page. That's what worked for me...just no title!

If you use the All-In-One SEO plugin it will re-order your page titles so the title or your post/page is the title that shows up in the task bar.

  hey tunderbird, Im not sure if there are plugins for it, but it doesnt seem important enough for a plugin.
  
  llgrace, I tried that but then it messed with my page names and got confusing so I changed it back.
  
  Kevin, Im usin that plugin, but it was a header problem like Michael said. My page titles are fine now that theyre away from the content of my site.
