Antivirus/Antiphishing False Positives. What to do?

Hi Warriors,

Anyone with popular sites that have many affiliates sending all different types of traffic will probably run into this problem every once in a while. But when it happens it's a nightmare for the product owners.

How do monitor all of the different antiviruses, safe browsing tools, etc. It seems like you'd have to have tons of computers all running different security tools and check your sites daily to make sure none are reporting virus/malware/phishing false positives. Is there a better way?

Thank you.

Preventive measures work best. Shared IPs sometimes cause false positives, so check with your host if you can get a dedicated IP for your account with them. Also regularly confirm if the latest security technologies are available in your server and in the CMS that you use for each of your sites. Perhaps you can create a script that runs these checks in your server regularly and sends you email notifications when something isn't right?

As for regularly checking the status of your sites in the eyes of security tools and automatically alerting you of any flags -- I couldn't find any one service that uses the most widely used security tools out there to provide this alert service. Hey, that's a product idea in itself right there. LoL!

What you can do is list down the top 3 or so security tools that can significantly affect your sites when they're flagged by these tools; and

You can then check if these tools have APIs for developers, so you can create a script that can regularly run checks on each of your sites and alert you via email and SMS of any flags and its corresponding details ...

For example, Google offers this service, though I haven't checked if this is available through an API -- https://www.google.com/transparencyr...yourdomain.com
