Is there no other way?

Only risk takers are money shakers.

Is this true? No more patience and hard work. The success will come to those who wait. You may even order pizza while you wait.

Some questions, though. If you're taking the risk, you're making an investment. Right? It doesn't have to be only the money, not necessarily. You invest your time, energy, and most importantly your hopes. It doesn't cost a thing, but it certainly hurts a lot.

When accepting the risk, are you saying, I'm not accepting the current "natural" order of things? I wanna change it. I wanna make it better for me. My situation needs to change. What does a failure mean, that you weren't entitled to a change, in the first place?

We're a risk-taking society that keeps encouraging people to take risks. Is that the only way?

    No, it's not true.

That reads to me as...wait for it....blah blah blah

CALCULATED risk is what you should be taking....know the odds of succeeding...know what the pitfalls might be....know your timeline and your budget and your abilities.

Plan for the best and the worst - and be prepared to act on those plans.

Patience and hard work are still factors - but while it's true you can be too cautious (i.e., risk averse) it's also true you can take wild risk and fall flat on your face.

It's the difference between jumping off a cliff and jumping off a cliff with a parachute.
