Hi All,
I'm new to the forums but have been lurking around for a while now. I'm going to be getting my feet dirty in some ebay niche stores and was wondering, if the store i'm building is for a certain clothing company niche, is it legal to use the name in the domain name? IE. buynike.com, nikestore.com Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also I am not doing Nike its just an example.

No, you can't do this if the term is trademarked. As of August 1, 2009, this violates the eBay Partner Network (EPN) TOS and will get you booted out of the program.

Beyond that, the company who owns the trademark might be one that aggressively defends their trademark online and they'll attack you with their legal team, issuing a Cease and Desist letter and following it up with more legal action.
