What's a good WP plugin for a membership & referral site?

Hello,

As mentioned in the title, I am curious to know what is currently the best and free WP plugin for membership management that also has a referral system?

I don't need anything fancy, just the ability to join the site, copy a referral link and start promoting. When people join through the link I want to credit the guy who referred them with % on whatever they earn on my website through various activities.

I'm asking the Warriors because you probably know more about this stuff. I could in theory make my own plugin, but that requires time and if there is one already out there, why waste it?

    You can try memberpress.com - it cost $99 per year - but they have very advanced features. And also Amember - is not WP plugin, but they can connect their system with wp.

    DAP (Digital Access Pass) is the most used and feature-rich plugin of its type, but it might be overkill. That said, if you were to review its features, you might discover things you never even thought of that it provides, that might make your life easier.

    One of my marketing friends use Member Mouse it's a plugin and says he loves it. I use Member Factory which is cloud based. There is also Member Pal, but as far as I know it doesn't have a referral system.

      That's a matter of opinion and everyone's needs are different. Obviously, it was the best for your needs, but that's all you can really say. :-)

        Frank, please just read what I wrote: I've tried almost every membership plugin (EVERYTHING) in hundreds of different website both for me and my clients. Memberpress is the best choice both in terms of the support offered and the features packed in it.

          I don't agree. For you, perhaps. I tried it and ultimately went with DAP.. Never have looked back.

          You simply cannot make blanket statements. You can only speak for yourself, not others. That's just a simple fact of life, reagrdless of what you may think.

    Oh, I just saw you're looking for a free membership plugin!!! There is no such thing. You'll end up having uploaded your products, and find either that you must upgrade to a paid version, or that you have to switch to another plugin and upload everything again from scratch.

      Looks like I have to make one myself then... I will open source this for sure. Just to F with the system. lol.

    I use DAP. It has tonnes of features and seems to be quite popular. The only thing I'll say is that there are so many features that It might be hard to find the ones that work best for you if you don't have a lot of experience with this type of thing.

    I have never operated a membership site, but, when I was researching this idea a while back a plugin called Wishlist Member was mentioned several times. just google it

    You can use Restrict Content Pro and then include extension addon for affiliate program. Wishlist Member can be an option too.

    I've used restrict content pro, it's really cheap as far as plugins go and has a lot of features for the price. Not as robust as amember but really good.
