Blog Marketing Question......

Does anyone have a basic guide or tips on setting up a blog marketing ?

This is what I am doing.

I want to setup my blog on my main site subfolder.

Main site.com/blog/

Then put the keywords in a post or folder page like....

Mainsite.com/blog/buy blue computers/

then repeat this like 10 times for different keywords.

Does this work for getting long tail keywords?

Any tips appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

you don't have to put keywords in separate pages, you can just make new posts and put the long tail keyword in title, post body and category..

The short answer is, yes. Depending on what keywords you're trying to rank for.

I'm not a fan of using "blog" as the name for your "blog" directory. I prefer installing WP in the web root, but if I don't I like to at least name the blog directory something else - maybe throw in a really general keyword.

By the way, are you using WordPress?

Here are the tips that I would like to share with you:

    1) Use a plugin like Yoast to improve your site SEO.
    2) Do not overuse keywords - otherwise you can invite Google penalty on your blog.
    3) Get your blog posts visited by Google indexing bots using google webmaster tools.
    4) Use Google keyword tool to use appropriate keywords on your posts.
    5) Do interlinking of your posts to enhance user engagement on your blog.
