Time to get serious!!

Hi,

I've been dabbling with IM for a number of years with limited success due to other commitments.

I have decided that now is the right time to take action and get a thorough grounding and build a solid business.

I wondered if people on the board could point me in the right direction of a really solid high ticket course that truly gives grounding of all aspects of IM and business building. I feel I know the basics but would be happy with a course that starts at that level and builds.

please give some recommendations of what is the best out there

Thanks in advance

Questions like this get 50 answers from 50 people - all of them different based on their own path which will probably have nothing to do with the direction you might want to go in.

Find something you are interested in and research that niche. Otherwise, you are wasting your time looking for an answer, here.

My advice: Do the exact opposite of what BigFrank did and you will be successful.

One thing I've learned from one of my mentor (Tony Robbins) is to model what successful people are doing.

Don't try do re-invent the wheel. BigFrank tells the truth when he says you should pick something you are passionate about, but the fastest way to get there is to get a mentor and copy their system.

Successful people that are making money, bringing value and have a good attitude,

    Versus

Broke and mad people with thousands of posts without any value in them with a bad attitude,

    Pick one.

I think you have been putting it off, most people don't make money online because they

don't take action and they have totally the wrong mindset.

If you've been dabbling for years you probably understand the basics of finding a hungry audience and filling their desires.

As far as I'm concerned, everything begins at meeting the needs of a like-minded group of people who are ready, willing, and able to purchase products or services that will help solve their problem or satisfy a desire.

Be careful as you consider who you're going to trust and who you think will be honest and straightforward about online business. This industry is rampant with people who are anxious to take your money and tell you everything you need to know . . . without a history themselves of having a successful business.

You don't need "a really solid high ticket course that truly gives grounding of all aspects of IM and business building" . . . I have never seen such a thing and doubt that one exists. You don't need to know "everything" about online business - you just need to find one profitable system that works for you and get really good at it.

The best to you in your new found excitement!

My advice is to stop "dabbling" and stay focused on my specific business model. You can learn a lot about various online business models on this forum which I expect you have learned since you have been here for a while. If you are looking to do affiliate marketing, FBA, or whatever there are many training courses that will focus on that aspect.

I've had many "time to get serious moments" on my IM journey. There's nothing wrong with them.

Get serious now, just don't get un-serious, or un-productive anymore. Work when you're happy, work when you're sad. Work when you feel like it, and work when you don't.

Massive imperfect continuous action = getting serious.

I don't think there's a black or white answer to which is the best high ticket course because everyone is different. What might be great for one person's skill set might not be ideal for another's.

What I would say is, rather than looking for a course that gives you a grounding in all areas, maybe you'd be better off specialising in one area. Having tons of knowledge can lead to jumping from idea to idea and spreading yourself so thin that you never actually get anything done.

Personally, I would consider two things: what you're good at and what method you believe that you would enjoy. I would then find a course that relates to those things and stick to it. When you get a business up and running that makes money, then consider branching out to learn one or two other methods.

I firmly believe that it's better to be an expert in 1 method and have a 1 solid business setup in it's entirety is better than being knowledgeable in multiple areas and having lots of half bit, unfocused businesses that you don't have the time to manage properly.

It's temping to go for a course that teaches everything because like most people who jump into IM, you're dreaming of the millions. But you have to make the hundreds and the thousands before you get to the millions.

All the years I've been online the only thing that truly works is taking action. Most of the Gurus selling high ticket products are telling you what they know you want to hear.

The best way to learn from them is to look at what they "do" and not what they teach.

For me the only thing that makes money online is actually choosing a method and making it work.

I'll be honest with you right now, making money online is the hardest thing you'll do with your life. If you don't have grit and you can't push through the hard times then get out now! It doesn't get any easier.

Making money online take guts. You must be willing to try things, get results and then use those results to do better.

Trust me I've bought some high ticket products and they basically have lots of "sophisticated fluff". What I mean by that is half of the stuff that they are telling you sounds good, but really does not help you much. The next thing you know is you're buying another product from that "gooroo".

Now I'm not saying that all of these types of products are no good I'm just saying that you're better off investing your money in an online marketing method.

Taking action is what makes you money not the products you buy.

Focus on value. Find people who'll pay you for that value. Repeat.

That is the simple formula for starting a business online and make it successful.

You don't need a high ticket course. You may want a few that will help you toward your goals, but getting your feet wet with easy stuff will also help you learn.

First start out and pick a niche or area you have interest in. I know this sounds broad but creating a starting website and the corresponding social media accounts / marketing tactics that you can try out will help you get a basic understanding.

Practicing writing some articles and content, and creating a facebook page / presence that updates will be a good first step. These are just small suggestions for things you can do to get started. Download Market samurai and research a few keywords.

Find some that look easy and check the competition in a competition checker.

I know this sounds basic but by creating a small web presence and starting to write content and test out instagram, twitter and social media accounts, as well as going after easy keywords could get you initial traffic.

In the process of learning how to do these things, you will build a foundation and learn about tools/courses you can spend money on that are actually worth it, as opposed to not having any basic experience or ideas before buying a tool.

What I am trying to say is, try a few things out and figure out some basics before spending your money on courses, and it might go much further.
