I need some advice. I have enough money right now to either join paydot.com and promote digital products I created or make squeeze pages that link to other people's sites as a affiliate, and promote their product. I not trying to become rich right now, but I would like to make money to be able to reinvest so that I can become stable. Has anyone used these methods and which do you think would be the best direction to go to get started?

Get your feet wet first by promoting other peoples products... Then take on a product of your own as soon as you are able to make sales with products of others. If you can not sell someone else product, you may not be able to promote your own.

The goal is to sell something to someone. But if you have your own quality products, why selling others' stuff? Start selling your products and finding JV partners and affiliates.

I agree with both. It's a great idea to use someone else's credibility when you are a newby.
But if you have great quality information, promote the heck outta that, because your profits will be more.

Indeed, if you have a great product why not sell your own? I think being a seller is way underrated. Everyone says it's so hard but in fact it even could be easier than being an affiliate. Being a seller is a great way for a stable income if you do it right.

Most personal and highest potential CTR marketing. Video marketing is the new way to roll.

You're right, especially if you make tanigble products like CDs and DVDs, etc. Then you can pass them out while networking.
My company has gotten some of our best deals because of that

If you have your own product I would get it up on PayDotCom.com and then focus on recruiting affiliates like crazy. That will really get you some great revenues while at the same time you can be building your own list up with a good exit pop or something for visitors that leave without buying. Once you have that list you can be an affiliate for any product that fits that list. So you get the best of both worlds.

For those that don't have products I think the best thing is to go into affiliate marketing first then work on your own product, but everyone is different.
