I'm pretty new. 2 weeks shy. I have did allot of research, and really believe that I can make it. I'm just unsure how to get into that "click" where you are flying out there and people are seeing your stuff, but the stuff that people WANT to see, that they really are interested in. How do you do that, with integrity, and get that following where people follow and trust your site?

    Hello Loriann26,

Well you question is very common in the sense that everyone in IM at one point or other had asked.

I think there are many many paths. But you are directing your question in the right direction. How do you create an environment of trust around you and your product or service?. And for that there is only one single answer:

Respect and take care of the people that get in contact with you.

Like in any other business... And take in consideration that your relationship to your people is virtual, creating trust will take a bit longer... And think they are people... no numbers or money!!!

The key for trust is consistency and as you go, ask people for their honest opinion on your product to have social proof. This helps.

All this takes time. So Welcome on board. Be prepared to the roller coaster, but think that every time you go down, like in any roller coaster, there is a way up. So hold on and keep moving! You are allowed to scream, but not allowed to jump out

    To Your Success!

There are many ways. It sounds like you might have been considering a niche site and, if so, you're going to have to give it some time and effort, by writing good content (or paying someone to write them for you), doing your SEO, linking with other sites, etc.

I'm sure we could give you more ideas but you have to give us a better idea of what you want to do. Are you starting wiht an affiliate program (a good place for newbies to start)? Are you selling your own physical or digitial product?

Either way, this forum is a terrific place for information!

I am starting as an affiliate, and slowly getting things out there, but I know there is a better way. I do not want to pay some crazy fee to some of the sites, but I need to know what is reputable. I love software, games, design, health, beauty, just about everything, actually, allabout is my blog page. It's just a place where info on life's many things. But the things I want to be affiliated with I want to be very reputable so my name is reputable, not "x" out when it pops up.

Reputation is not built in a day, but keep focusing on the steady production of quality, integrity and relevance that reputation will surely follow. One page, one blog post at a time.

Find something you personally are really interested in where there are a lot of other people interested in it. Oh, and they need to be willing to spend money too!

I think that if you want to be that "go to" person, you should create a very detailed niche site around your topic.

Cover it in depth and have reviews--real reviews of products on the site as well.

Get out there on social media and only give solid info, no hype or crazy promises.

Most of all when you recommend something make sure that you have actually used the product and know for a fact that is it good.

Nothing will ruin your credibility like hyping a garbage product.

Go the extra mile and stand out from the crowd. In your email series offer to answer any questions they may personally have.

It shows you care and won't just take their money and run away.

It also helps to show what results you are getting with whatever product you want to promote. Especially if the result is truly desirable.

And be yourself. When you throw your personality in there it shows you are a real person. Just like your prospect.

Pictures, video, funny stories. All of these things will help build a relationship and help your visitors relate to you.

So many new blogs are sterile when I look at them.

Just today I saw someone wanting a critique of their lead capture page and someone told them "smile!" Sometimes it is just the little things that help go a long way in terms of building your business.

    Hey Loriann,
    Welcome.
Get yourself out there. Offer some good insight on a regular basis right here. It may seem tough at first since you're so new. But everyone has some insight about something. Just takes a little self inventory of yourself and your Strengths and Expertise.
