Question about article marketing

Myself and a friend are writing articles to submit as guest posters and were wondering if the do-follow link should be to..

1.our main page with article listings with a menu to the sales page
2.our squeeze page
3.our sales/copy page

I feel like linking to the main page would be wasted but then again linking to the 2 other ones might be too direct.

What would you do?

    It depends on your desired outcome.

    For SEO, number 1 would be your best bet. For list building, go with number 2.

    For number 3, you might get the odd sale or two, but you'll get more sales by choosing number 2.

    People like to buy, they just don't like to be sold to.

    As just stated, it depends on the outcome you want. How about a hybrid? How about going to your website with a pop up that offers a freebie? Best of both worlds. Make sure you track your links though, so you can see what's working and what's not.

    I would go with a 50/50 split between 2 and 3

    With 3 depending on your product you could give people like the first three chapters or videos of your product to actually "prove" to them that the product is good.

    Then they would be more inclined to buy--and even if they don't, you would still have them on your list.

    If guest posting, then definitely bring to your squeeze page, then once opt in can bring to your sales copy, this way have the lead info to follow up with if don't buy. Then can continue to follow up via email with value and past articles. Provide links to your article page and continue to promote offer and future offers.

    Ok thanks guys, I'll try a mix of 2/3 to see what works. the #3 has an exit popup which gives free stuff which gives us emails already. I'm just wondering the squeeze page vs exit popup as to what's more effective.

    I'll do some testing.

    From what I have learned from some of the more Authoritative players with
    Article Marketing ,you want to do number 1.

    Absolutely.

    Do me a favor go put Alexa Smith in the Search and look at her Posts. Study them and bookmark them. She was one who I learned a lot from about this EXACT topic

    HINT : It's about acquiring Trust and gaining Credibility as well as building Engagement
