Domain name, would you choose MarketerTools.com or MarketersTools.com

he, i really wonder if marketer or marketers would do better with a similar domain, like MarketerTools.com or MarketersTools.com

Which one would you go for ?

    Probably neither, unless the word was part of a recognizable or well-known phrase.

    It's risky building a brand that can be compromised down the line by a competitor taking your name and adding or subtracting an "s". And if there's already someone else with the other name in your niche, you're obviously too late.

    Better to go for something distinctive that offers a greater degree of brand protection.

    You're probably going to get a lot of conflicting views on here, so here are a few hard and fast rules on selecting a domain name that'll get you the traction that you need:

    First, make sure that you have targeted keywords in your domain name. You can gain some traction on your site if your DN has targeted keywords that are relevant to your business.

    Next, you may consider coming up with a catchy name that'll be remembered across social channels.
    If you have something that's kinda catchy and can be easily remembered, you'll fare pretty good.


    Oh, make sure that you can't confuse your URL with another successful one, you just may lose your prospects to a better, more established competitor if they make a mistake and type in a similar URL.

    Anyway, if I had to choose between your two ideas, I'd pick Marketers Tools because it sounds like you own it.

    I think you can do better . . .

    however,

    If you want one or the other, register them both and then forward the one you don't like as well to the one you do like. It will help to protect your brand.

    The shorter and simpler, the better, so without the "s" IMO is preferable.

    If you were on a radio show. and they asked you what your website name was

    Saying marketer tools . com is much easier than marketer s tools .com . flows off the tongue a little choppy.

    Both works. if I was looking for a good name I would suggest tossing it in Google Trends and see if people are searching for it or not. Organic traffic always helps.

    I took TroopStation.com and will gamify it by installing a badge system where the apprentice marketer is a simple soldier and will earn badge each time he read a blog post, do a learning action or anything valuable toward becoming a knowledgeable and rich marketer.

    So after many action and learning, the user become General in chief with a bunch of medal and at the sames times he will have learned AND PRACTICE the Internet Marketing way of doing money

    Each badge and medal will open hiden teaching too so it`s another motivator toward learning the craft..

    Lot of work to do but that will be fun

    Any suggestion to make it more likable and successful is welcome again
