GKP monthly impressions

I added some keywords to my plan, set a bid of $500 (just for testing) and I see my k/w impr column is from the millions to 0.

Is that the average monthly searches?

    Hi Techie,

Yes, that is the average monthly searches, give or take a few million.

The AdWords Keyword Planner Tool no longer provides precise data for non-advertisers.

Apparently Google found that too many people were using the tool for purposes other than what it was designed to do so they now limit the precision for non-advertisers. You now have to actually run AdWords ads to continue to receive the more precise data.

Google has a fiduciary responsibility to it's stakeholders to control costs.

      Thanks for the explanation, Don.

So when I do a search for dog training, add the keywords to a plan, enter a bid of $500, I see an "Impr" column that I can sort ascending or descending. That's where I'm confused. Those aren't monthly search volumes?

    Hi Techie,

Based on your screenshots you seem to be using the "Performance Forecast" report. That report is a prediction of future impressions for ad campaigns. Those reports are based on a number of variables and prediction algorithms, it isn't actual search query data.

Having said that, the report does allow you to define the time period for which the forecast is generated. Look for it near the top-right corner of the page you are using to generate the Performance Forecast reports.

Traditionally, you will find the search volume data in the section labeled: "Find new keywords and get search volume data".
