Domain is still hosted

I have previously used my godaddy domain as a custom url on blogger, but then i decided to move to a godaddy hosted site. I did a backtrack and removed the dns records that were used to connect to godaddy,and i also restore the default settings of most of the dns records.
Altho godaddy says my domain is "is just sitting there. Put it to work." but when i tried to connect it to host, it says my domain is still hosted.

    DNS will cache, by design. Ask someone who's never been to your site to have a look. Your own computer will actually be the last to see the change.
